Are you sure because I had read that it actually decreases performance. I personally have had to roll back my nvidia drivers 3 times now after slow performance due to the last 2 drivers (I am currently using 77.77). But looks like they did release another one the last one I used was 81.94 but now its 81.95. Still though in the release notes I see no things being fixed for BF2. Has anyone else confirmed that this new driver helps, perferibly someone with a 6800 GT?

I can confirm that the 81.95 drivers correct the problem. I am back to normal with no jitter.

i have a 6600Gt and it was exactly the same as it was before, but then again i never expierienced a decreased preformance at all with the expansion...must have skipped over me :P

Installed the new driver and it fixed the LAG problem. Back up to 30-50 FPS.
I also ordered the P4 3.4 Extreme CHIP from Ebay. Hope that helps as well.

P4 3.4 EE sucks for the price. Sorry.

Didn't fix my problems. I have a 6600. Can usually run BF2 Vanilla on medium/high settings with 40fps. But I can't run BF2:SF on low settings and even break 30fps.

I've had the 81.95 drivers for my 6600GT since I installed BF2 and haven't had any FPS decrease since installing SF.

well considering the drivers just came out the 22nd you haven't had BF2 that long....

Buy an AMD 64 and with the money you save buy a second video card.

I've had the 81.95 drivers for my 6600GT since I installed BF2 and haven't had any FPS decrease since installing SF.

So were you having Video lag...low FPS or were you having High Ping causing lag?

I have a Gigabyte 6800GT 256mb, And running the 81.84 drivers works like a charm. Im going to install the 81.95 tonight and see how that goes, but yeh I find the 77.77 to be useless as a driver, it lags like no tomorrow.
