NEW NVIDIA Driver fixed my LAG in BF2SF

Installed the new driver and it fixed the LAG problem. Back up to 30-50 FPS.
I also ordered the P4 3.4 Extreme CHIP from Ebay. Hope that helps as well.

Are you sure because I had read that it actually decreases performance. I personally have had to roll back my nvidia drivers 3 times now after slow performance due to the last 2 drivers (I am currently using 77.77). But looks like they did release another one the last one I used was 81.94 but now its 81.95. Still though in the release notes I see no things being fixed for BF2. Has anyone else confirmed that this new driver helps, perferibly someone with a 6800 GT?

I used the new 81.95 driver. My previous driver was a 78.**. Its been a while since I upgraded the driver. Earlier today the SF game would lag and run as slow as 10 FPS. Lucky to stay in the 20's. Tryed lowering resolution to 1024x768 all settings on HIGH. Since the upgrade, I'm back at 55 avg FPS, 40-80, with 1600x1200 all settings on HIGH.

Also does it work in Vanilla BF2? Cause with the last 2 nvidia driver I have also gotten termendice lag in Vanilla too.

Sorry to ask this, but how you check your FPS? Curious how this is for me. So I guess the higher the FPS the better?

type renderer.drawfps 1 in console in bf2.
