Brought COD2 and love it.Have a server browser that works everytime and in seconds and I haven't touched BF2 for maybe a week or more.

I have read 1000's of post about this game sucks, this patch sucks, damn install errors, etc. I installed BF2 & every patch with NO probs. I was leary about the auto DL for the SF expansion. But since No bestbuys or comp stores in my area have it & won't for a good week or so, I decided to try it. EVEN after I read ALL these negative post on here & on EA forums.

I would like to also sya that I DL'ed the new 1.12 patch & installed it with NO probs. I decided to be a glutton for punishment & DL the new SF xpansion. I payed, then got the downloader installed, executed it & started DL'ing. YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE THIS!!! It Dl'ed FLAWLESSLY!! Then I clicked on install now. OMFG!!!!!! It installed FLAWLESSLY!!!!! Then I reinstalled the 1.12 Patch.... GUESS WHAT ? Yep ... Flawless!! Shall I go on? Game booted....Servers filtered .... Joined Game ..... Played the baddest ^$^#&^#(*&%*& game EVER! You people who have had problems installing or other **** you talk about need to do something with your comps or call geek squad or something. My Comp is almost 2 yrs old at the end of this month. (2.6 P4) with the exception of a few upgrades (RAM, X850XT, PSU). Go Gateway.

I have never tweeaked or overclocked squat on here & have NEVER had a problem loading or insatlling ANYTHING on here. Maybe by going out & buying parts & thinking you save a little green. You might want to pay a little extra & let the Pros & geeks get it running. Just a suggestion. This is my 4th comp from Gateway. All been great.

I even considered my next one I get , I will do myself. But IDK .... I don't wanna be one of these people who come in here blaming everything on the game publisher or Dev. Rock On... & SEE you on the BF! Thats if you can see me in the daark or after I teargas & flashbang your ass!! Boooohahahahaahaha!!

I agree, i felt like EA/Dice abandoned the community. I still feel that way, but at least i know they were doing something very productive. Now it's time for some clean up on the game and expansion. If EA/Dice patches problems, blah blah blah, this game will be around for a long time!

Most of the flaws I have found in BF2 hve been few and insignificant compared to the enjoyment I have recieved from the game. The main problem I have witht the game is the same one that makes it so enjoyable. The people that play, the human element. While some are absoulute morons, like the TK punishers, some are skilled and helpful.

Most games I shell out 50 bucks for dont hold my interest for weeks much less months as BF2 has.

Bottom line is: If you don't like it, don't play it.

This guy has very little patience. I mean look he installs the game and the second it doesn't work he runs to the forum to complain about how terrible the game is and how everybody else should not buy it.
Hey buddy here is a tip; take a nice deep breath and start troubleshooting. Nobody said operating a PC was easy, just takes a little patience and you might have to spend an hour reading around or "Do It Yourself".

I gave them 3 months of patience waiting for the 1.03 patch so my
game would stop crashing every 4-5 games..and then what happens?
the patch creates more bugs.. admittedly, ones I can actually live with,
but still, the community in-game is nothing but kiddies and little chopper
and jet spammers who end up with zero team points at the end of the game
then say how they owned you, lmfao..

Heres a couple facts for you EA brown nosers..

fact; local gamestop store had 45 of their original BF2 games returned out
of 100 sold the first week of release due to incompatability issues.
I guess all 46 of us dont know how to operate our pcs..

fact; gamespot just reviewed SF saying (paraphrasing..) good luck getting
it to run on even a high end gaming pc with any stability. but yes, when it
runs, its good.

fact; looked at the ranked servers list lately? 6 weeks ago I was showing
2200 ranked servers with my 6 filters applied, now that number is less than
500. Even games like counterstrike, and unreal tournament 1999 which are
years older have more servers online than that.

I admit it, BF2 is a great game..about 1 out of 10 games.. the other 9
games are a painful bliss of kindergarten.
