I predict all players of vanilla BF2 will get the same chance at the new unlocks with the patch that comes out the same time as BF2SF. Just those with out SF will not be able to play those maps.

Remember, how big is the new patch coming out? Think about it.

The only thing I can see I wish was different was artillery. In place BF2 SF should have a AC130 Gun Ship that the commander could call in and destroy a small area for about the same time as an Art strike. That would be cool and more authentic.

I was refering to the fact the SF players will be able to use weapons in BF2 that vanilla BF2 players will not be able to use.. I mean they are patching BF2 with SF release for the new weapons, why not let normal BF2 players upgrade too? I mean new weapons arent going to make BF2 anything like SF so why not just let everyone upgrade in BF2?

Because see, we're choosing to pay to get the other stuff, we want the extra maps and vehicles and playability.

So we get the unlocks in Vanilla as a bonus.

Those of you who have choosen not to pay for it, well, tough freaking luck. Stop bitching you didn't pay, you don't get anything new.

And thank your stars that when you kill someone who has choosen to buy SF and steal their kit, that you can even use the equitment you cheap bastards.

I doubt it. This is EA we are talking about here, so they would want to encourage people to buy the addon.

About the size of the patch that is coming out, don't forget that everyone in vanilla BF2 will need to be able to see the models both on other people as well as when they pick up the kits (like now when you can get a kit froma body that you haven't unlocked).

They are not going to offer any of the SF content for free, that would defeat the purpose of it.
