Nope no knife kills count because both times I crashed out. I'm reading the stories now to announce the story winner and tonight we're going to give the turkey hunt another shot. Hopefully this time we'll have a good server - Scotty should be able to take care of us. :)

Everyone wrote some great stories and it was a very very tough decision here for me but Tactical_Marksman wins the story contest. My two personal favorites turned out to be Knight Yellow's hilarious stories and Tactical Marksman's well written (and funny as well) story.

Thanks to everyone that put in some effort in this contest. Join me tonight for another chance to win a key via the turkey hunt! :)

Tactical, please PM me and let me know how you want your key. Email or PM.

Yeah the server should be good to go tonight. I installed the new updated BF2CC daemon and obviously we have rcon so we will be kicking/banning people who violate the rules.

By the way its a Dallas,Tx server hosted at The Planet.

Hooray! (PM coming your way, TheMystic!)

Thanks for choosing my story, TheMystic, and for putting on these contests. I think this a great idea and a wonderful way to bring the BF2 Community together. I really enjoyed reading everyone elses stories as well and wasn't expecting to be chosen; thanks to everyone who contributed for making this a truly awesome thread!

Good luck to everyone with the Turkey Hunt tonight! If there's room in the server I might try to visit to help keep the necessary flags capped etc. Let me know if you think this would help, TheMystic.

                    Warning: Gratuitous Teamkilling

I had to place a warning on this story because there are some here that cringe at the thought of teamkilling. I happen to be one of those who cringe. Teamkilling makes me sick. Even so I must admit I am guilty of some teamkills.....some nasty fantastic teamkills!! Please read and understand where I am coming from.

This took place at least 3 years ago when I was in my BF:1942 prime, screenname: Mr.Fresh. In real life my girlfriend was questioning my sanity and I was questioning her necessity, but she's gone and BF is still here so I've obviously put my priorities in order. The map was Wake Island and I was Japanese. The map had been going for a few minutes before I got there so we already had some flags, but I was on a mission to dominate the skies so I went camping on the carrier. What I did not now then is that I would only get one chance to fly and I would be shot down by my own "teammates." In this case the "teammates" I speak of were actually a pair "teamkillers" with matching tags. It seems they were some sort of teamkilling clan who's sole purpose in life was to ruin people's nights. Every plane that spawned they shot until it blew. Every person who spawned they shot until they had killed them. They were in the negative 30's and still hadn't been kicked. I begged and pleaded for an admin to kick them, but there was either no admin or one of these guys was it. So like usual I decided to take the law into my own hands. I realized that a teamkiller is probably not the best player. He probably becomes a teamkiller out of frustration for not being able to kill anyone challenging, therefore he resorts to shooting unsuspecting teammates in the back to satisfy his urge to kill. Poor little guys....I HAD to kill them both...and often. Fortunately for me I am a very good player. I used to score top three in practically every match I played and was in the top 1% on bfstats at the time so these guys were excellent target practice! I killed them from behind, killed them from the front, killed them with grenades, killed them with expacks, but the best part was neither one of these two idiots could not kill me. They were so frustrated they could not stop typing profanities across the screen. I felt like a fat kid in McDonalds..."I'm lovin' it." I had completely turned the tables on them. So at this point they only cared about killing me, but I was always one step ahead of them, I could care less about my negative score at this time...it was for the cause! Now for my greatest moment of all. I spawned at the carrier again and to my surprise the dynamic dip****s weren't there. Also, there was a pretty little plane sitting on the deck all by itself. Finally I could fly, so I took off and searched the ground for them. Found em' and strafed em'. Killed em'. Again. Again. Man I was on fire and they were now absolutely ****ed so then I didn't see them any longer. Next thing I knew is that I was taking heavy fire. I dove, climbed, rolled but I couldn't shake it. Suddenly I was on fire so I had to bail. I realized when I jumped that whatever shot me down would have a field day with me in a parachute so I did a HELO style opening right in the middle of the big blue sea. To my surprise (and amazing luck) the two teamkillers where about 200 meters from me in a landing craft with one guy on the big gun. "That's what shot me down" I thought to myself. So now they were searching for me in the water, swerving back and forth scanning the surface. I was too far to make it back to land so I did what anyone else would do...swim towards my attackers. To my luck they drove right over me as I was holding down my "e" key and I found myself riding shotgun with the two guys. What was hilarious is that one of them was on the main gun looking over the side of the boat and the other was inside the little cabin lookin the other way. They were still looking for me and had no idea I was on the boat. So I waited until they saw me. First the guy on the gun turned towards me and his barrel was aimed right at my chest. He hesitated and I didn't....BAM SUCKA! Now the driver didn't know what to do at all. He just stood there behind the wheel and stared at me. I think he was comtemplating switching to the big gun, but he was scared. I felt like Dirty Harry, "Feel lucky punk?". I shot him between the eyes and took the boat to the island. Soon after the game ended and I had the worst score I've ever had, but the biggest smile to boot.
