I dont think any other HW ban would work besides the Vid card. A new mobo with SLI support is only $100. You can get another hdd for just that. A new network card is only $15. It would have to be the Video card.

If it is the Video card, imagine how much it would suck if you were HW banned and you were running SLI? I'd probably just throw my comp out the window....or at least sell it on ebay...lol

you wanna know what's really hilarious? the fact that most of these bastards that were banned probably spent lots of money upgrading their PC's so they can play BF2, rotfl.

Maz is basically a noob coder who tries emulate a coder by the name of Broil and Silent 50 Cal who works for a site with the initials BG. The kid is a horrible coder and I have seen how many of his people get banned and continue to say omgod it doesn't matter he is still awesome. Sad, sad indeed.

It just occured to me...
I'll bet all those suckers who got nailed for cheating will be selling their video cards on E-bay in short order.

What happens if you pick up a banned Vid-card?

thats good though think about it every time some one cheats they are cheating you from a quality game experience. personally when i was on counter strike i would feel personally insulted when i would be killed by a cheater ( sorry for the cs reference but it was deathly odvious when some one was cheating, unlike bf2 where its really hard to prove.)

i know what you mean. i've been playing CS since it's inception nearly and i can always spot a cheater. even the sneaky guys. what really ****es me off is when i call someone out that i know is a cheater and everyone laughs and says he's "CAL" or some crap like that.

i just got done reading it and i was wondering, what's gonna happen to those poor suckers that got hardware banned on ALL punkbuster games? hypothetically speaking, what if i were to cheat in BF2 and got HW banned from all PB games, what would happen if i bought a new game with PB and online functionality? they can't deny me access to a game that i never cheated in and that i paid good money for. they must be joking if they think they can get away with this garbage. forget about the fact that they're cheaters for a second and think of them as consumers. if you crashed your hooptie and bought a brand new car and were told that you can't open the locks on it, what would you think? (provided you didn't lose your license or anything)

anyway, i'm glad they nailed this bastard. however, the law needs to get involved in this as this is clearly a scam.

If you cheat in 1 punkbuster game then your banned from al PERIOD and rightly so.

Its completely legal and your own fault. When you install a PB enabled game you agree too the end user license agreeement, agreeing not to cheat.
