Fact is that those things you mention need to be in the game to make it work, there are parts of the realism you just can't keep when playing a game.

Bunny hopping however, is not a part of the game.. a lot of people (like myself) want to have a proper firefight which involves skill and timing, not a firefight involving 5 people who are 2 meters from eachother jumping around like loons, seeing who can hit who first.

I do bunny hopping as well, man!

Yeah, me.

I think it is much more annoying to have a good Pilot in the game and the AA can´t do nothing abaut that. We just have to cope with that.

(Sorry abaut my English because I am not a native speaker).

That's funny. You object to a good pilot, but find the bunny hopping OK? At least the pilot needs skill to do what he does. You just need to keep hitting the space bar.

Bunny hopping is just lame CS behaviour in my opinion.
Having a real movie isch firefight is more like my pleasure...
You should really try it sometime, its 10 times the fun! :) I did Bunny hopping one round a long time ago but it just didnt do it for me...

I am not a 'hopper' like in the noob tube sense, etc..

When I am out of ammo and in close combat, I hop.... sorry, I don't want to die and I want to reload and kill the other guy. He does the same 9 + times out of 10.... so be it.

Running accross the way and a tank start lighting me up w/ his MG, I hop, again...the tank guy doesn't get out and switch to his rifle for a "proper fight" so I just keep hopping til I'm behind something or dead.

It's in the game and for both sides, if annything it's one of the most balanced things in the game 'cause eveyone gets it accross the board.

J-10, M203 in close quarters, APC -v- infantry, MEC chopper chain gun there's where the gripes should be/ are.

This whole argument boils down to.....

"Will you please stand still so I can shoot you now"

PS - You don't have to be even remotely skilled to not get shot down by AA in the game.

if your running away and diving for cover then bunny hopping is acceptable and i think everyone does that once in a while.

Its people who use it close up as there only way of fighting that people object too and rightly so its lame and its cheating.

Bunny hopper are easy to dispose of. I guess you guys are bad shots :]

To the thread starter, I see your point, but there's nothing you can say or do that will change these situations. People will always make excuses for losing... they will always create things that are "unfair" or "skilless". It's just a part of gaming.

If jumping was completely removed and grenade launchers were completely removed, people would complain about the AT snipers. If the AT class was completely removed people would complain about the C4 throwers. If the C4 was completely removed people would complain about tank/apc "whores". If tanks/apcs were completely removed people would complain about chopper/air whores. If those were removed people would complain about snipers (no breathing, just put up the scope and shoot). Dolphin diving, prone jumping, etc etc etc etc

Before you know it, we're back to playing Pacman... only on the internet.

I play sniper almost exlusively and I have no problems fighting of hoppers, divers, noobtoobers, etc.

Folks like Sawell don't play for the challenge, they play to win. If he loses, there must be reason, other than him being the lesser player. The phrase "adapt and overcome" does not apply to him apparently. Or maybe he just bought the game with his last 50 bucks and is angry that it isn't a tactical shooter... it's an action shooter.

Not at all, I just don't wish to resort to jumping up and down to try and win. If a bunny hopper kills me, fine. It doesn't bother me, the bunny hopper is playing to win... and I'm playing to have fun, I think you've got your wires mixed there. If I cared about stats, then heck... maybe i'd act like a loon also. If I didn't adapt and overcome, I wouldn't be playing.

Next time, before you come here... with personal insults in hand, read the reply in full. Just because I don't believe in it, doesn't mean I can't/don't cope with it, and it also doesn't retract my right to express my opinion on the matter.

As for the running for cover/reloading, I often do the same... the moment you are at a serious disadvantage I believe you should do everything in your power to balance it, as you would in real life.

Exactly, my PKM pwns bunny hoppers so I cannot see the problem with them, if they want to die in a funny way jumping about, it's up to them.

Bunny hoppers did **** me off, but now I expect it and I actually find it EASIER when someone is hopping because they are moving predictably and slowly. . .I have a much harder time hitting someone who just sprints for cover.

And, they are toast ESPECIALLY if I have my noobtube. Blow those suckers to bits the second they land. Bunny hopping is totally lame but I have learned to live with it.

Eh. I just bann all bunnies and dolphins from my server permentantly. (Hell, Bunnies and Ignorant people are the only thing we bann for, oh yeah, chearting too. But, that's hard to prove.)

I don't agree with it. It ruins the feel of the game for me, and at home I simply don't have to deal with it.

Yet, when I go to other servers. It's fair game. So, I bring the M203... since I refuse to hop I might as well make life easier on myself. They leave the ground, I give em' a boost! :)

I don´t object to a good Pilot, I wish I could fly like some of them.
But you also now that a good pilot can take some fun of the game, whereas a bunny hoper only will get shot some rounds later

Also I have only played as pilot for abaut an hour and have never been shoot down from AA fire, and I know that a stink as a fighter pilot.
I know I don´t need skill to jump, but I also know that, when I am fighting with someone with skill, I can bunny Hop all the way to hell (translation I will allmost allways die).
If you´re good enough it isn´t that important that the other guy jumps.

I really don't see the need to ban people doing this, as they don't really harm anyone they just look silly and end up dead.
