"no, leave me and save yourself"

We all know that clicking a mouse button while down calls for a medic... but can we please have it so hitting the other button requests the medic LEAVE you alone. I don't know how many times I'm trying to re-spawn with a different gun only to be revived at the last moment.. usually about 5 feet from the tank that just killed me.

Something like the title, or "go on without me". simple yet effective

It's not the medic's fault, he doesn't know that I'd like to stay dead but sometimes reviving someone is the worst thing you can do. How hard would it be to add that kind of thing into the next patch?

    Dice, you reading this?

i really dont see ur problem, being revived is always good as it means you don't have a death point. If you die again right away so be it its not like it matters.

Yes, it does. That extra 15 seconds of down time could mean a flag loss.

      I like the original idea:
      Press LMB: "MEDIC!"
Press RMB: "Go on without me Sarge, I'm a goner, tell my wife I love her. Lovely war eh Sarge".

Thats another 15 seconds of waiting while you could have been back in game with a weapon that's useful, with the flag going down the entire time. Perhaps the guy wants to be back as a class thats more appropriate to the current situation. If I go down to a tank at the flag, you can be sure I'm coming back AT (or spec). It's frustrating to be revived and knowing there is nothing you can do except die again.

it's not about the points, I know I am only getting hit with one death.. it's about being useful.

I play medic all the time. I am out there to save lives. If you get critical, you should expect to be revived. Be ready. Keep your finger on that shift key, be ready to sprint and evade. I can't say how many times I have revived teammates and they just lay there and do nothing, get shot again and die. My fault? No. The medic's job is to revive and heal. Save tickets and save lives.

people like are the ones that don't realize that the team has tickets.

Everytime you die, you lose a ticket and gain a death point. If you a medic revives you, then you don't get either

Totally agree with caseman, i know medics are trying to do their job but when u get revived like 5 times and die from a tank each time thats like 75 seconds wasted.....

Thats a selfish thought, your team loses a point when you die. The medic is doing his job, if you're that unhappy with your kit, find another one on the field.

My friend is new to the game and that southern most point on Karkand is a little too much for him right now and he gets frustrated. At one point he was going through the hole in the fence (from the US North-East spawn point) and got killed, I revived him.

He yelled at me because he immediately got killed agian, I revived him agian.

He said, "don't revive me again." I did so anyway, laughing the whole time. He got killed, yet again, and begged me not to revive him.

I love reviving people who don't want to be revived. It is my mission in life. . .err. . .BF2.

It's not selfish, it's realistic. If you revive me (a medic, or sniper for example) while the flag is under attack by armor all I'm going to do is run, possibly costing my team the flag. If I can re-spawn we stand a much better chance of saving it.. what's more important: My death costing a point, or saving the flag meaning 10s of points won't be spent on trying to recover it.

And yes I realize that the medic can't tell who wants to be revived and who doesn't... Hence this thread suggesting an option

Medics get points for reviving. Good lucky trying to get them to leave you alone.. :)

                            100% agree

Not only does it prevent a team point being lost but if the freshly revived person is on the ball you can turn the tide of battle. I usually keep the shockpaddles out ready to zap prone enemies.

screw the points .. it will take you 10-15 seconds to respawn and possibly 2-3 if revived .. if you have the chance to get up and get safe all the better ..... of course if there is armor parked there and easily pwning everyone it is not too smart to revive ... hopefully some of the more experienced players take this into consideration

also take into consideration that we/medics put our own lives at risk when attempting to help
