Lol, do you noobs still play on public servers? I suggest you try out clanmatches because they are much better.

Gee matchse may have less tards but have you ever considered how some people aren't in a clan/squad? plus, they're often difficult to set up to adjust to everyone's time schedual, and matches are often under a high stress environment. In a normal game it's play to well... just play, matches however, are a play to win situation.

Dunno what servers you guys play on. None of the things described here have ever happened to me. Air power obliterating everything? How about telling your damn team mates to hop in a jet and take them down?

Air Power (maybe in pub servers) is taking over,you can't even move without being bombed.

Yeah, as much as I hate to perpetuate the whine... the air power does suck this game up. Way too powerful and impossible to take down except with another plane and, of course, you get TK'd everytime you try to get into a plane.... yeah .... this game ( pubbing style) really does suck. I won't even play any of the maps anymore that have jets... at least you can knock down the heilo's.

By far the biggest flop in my gaming history, and what ****es me off
more is that I went out and bought a high dollar video card and another
512 stick of ram just to play it, neither of which I need now, because

Set new goals, like my goal is to obtain 3000 tks and stay in the top 100 in the leaderboards. Im very, very close to achieving that, and when i do, i will award myself with a massive masterbation fest.

Not ranked, but awesome fun. Might seem a bit too strick, but you get good gameplay & no TKers. If you want to play BF2 they way it was meant ot be played. Just a suggestion.

airpower is a good feature and should be in the game but what makes it unfair is that the AA emplacements just dont work if they did it would be a lot more balanced.

at least for me. I only play on average of about an hour a day and am not a bad player, but not great either. I'm beginning to lose interest, as impossible as I thought that could be when I first started playing. Tonight I was tk'ed three times by the same guy (on purpose) and then after going to another server, wound up on a map where airpower was obliterating anything that moved. I suffered through that for awhile then went to another server where I think the average age (and IQ was about 12). Finally decided to quit and was reflecting on how I don't get excited at the thought of playing this game anymore. Maybe familiarity breeds contempt in this case, but I can't wait to get Civilization IV or Age of Empires III. I'll no doubt keep Battlefield 2 on my HD and play it from time to time whenever I need a FPS fix, but the golden days of BF2 are over for me. Just wanted to put this post out there to see if I'm out on a limb on this or if others are beginning to feel the same way. That's all.

You need to find yourself a good mature community that has their own bf2 server... get to know your teammates and I swear, you will fall in love with the game.

At one point, I got tired of the game, and 2 days later I tried it again and loved it...

What I said about becoming a regular in 1 server helps SOOOOO much !!!
Thats when you understand teamwork, and play with buddies you get to know.

for example, I am member of a Counter-Strike 1.6 clan.
THe only reason I still love cs is because of the people I play with... besides that, cs is about 5 freaking years old and barly changed...
I dont even plan on stopping cs because I love my cs clan !!!

Ill tell you right now, being a regular, later becoming a member... its the best gaming experience... as long as your with people you get alone with.

besides that your an RTS player so I am not surprised that the game gets to you so fast.
(I challenge you to starcraft or GeneralsZH :P)

It's working for me now but it definitely wasn't originally. Maybe a DNS server problem. The link I posted works too though.

i totally agree. i got on last night, on one of my servers i normally play on, and i got a total of 6 TK's in under 5 minutes, and another three deaths by M203 as soon as i spawned. i cant play clan matches either, cuz im just not that dedicated to the game. me and my friends play here and there, but ive never come across someone that i can play with other then them
