I smashed a keyboard over this stupid game. The list of annoyances are a mile long. Lamers, lag, it goes on and on. My latest annoyance are commanders who 1) fly or fight and don't actually command the game, 2) commanders who won't drop supplies when asked, 3) plane whore tkers.

Just today I was on Oma MEC at the airstrip. I got teamkilled two times in a row as I jumped in an empty jet. The moron who did it then jumps in the newly spawned jet just as I spawned by the tank he used to kill me. Guess what? I raped that idiot about 5 times in a row before he begged me to stop. The server didn't do auto kicks for excessive teamkills so he was killing people so he could fly. I looked at his score and it was like -25.

I just discovered F.E.A.R. It's an awesome FPS, not a battle sim. Great graphics, no lamer teammates, etc.

Lol, do you noobs still play on public servers? I suggest you try out clanmatches because they are much better.

Just wait on the mods, at least having the BF2 engine will pay off when the mods fix the gameplay. :)

For me, DC for BF:1942 saved the game for me. Perhaps PRMM and other mods will save the game for those disillusioned with vanilla BF2.

BF2 took 2 steps backwards since the latest patch. The problems are as follows:
1. Raising everyone's rank, allowed everyone to have most unlocks. This was a huge mistake. My 13 yr old quit overnight telling me ("now I have nothing to play for"). He hasen't played BF2 since the 103 patch, so I guess this sums it up pretty good.

2. SAM's are worse than ever, causing damage to friendly aircraft way before hitting the aircraft you were actually shooting at. This actually got worse after the patch.

3. General gameplay has declined since the patch. Now it is far more common to join a server, and have one side 100+ or more points ahead of the other. The general ballance has been screwed overall.

I play an hour or two a day, but overall its not nearly as fun. Generally speaking, the patch has actually made things worse, and Id gladly like to be running 102 again.

ive stop playing bf2 some time ago and have gone back to playing bf42 fh and dc mods...
dc is more fun than bf2...

I bought Battlefront II with my refund monies..

Yeah unfortunately once I reached my current rank and medals, and I realized it would be a LONG time before I got any kind of award or medal again, I quit playing. I guess I'm getting old...

It isn't as good at all, that's obvious.

The people playing are a different group too. Lots of kids acting their age and tards galore.

BF2 had big shoes to fill after '42. EA had an unbelievably huge client base, many of whom actually spent hundreds of dollars just getting ready to play this game.

One of two things happened. ONE- EA plainly sucks and were not able or were uninterested in commiting enough resources to this title to do the job well. It's incredibly buggy, full of programming holes, poorly thought out and horribly executed. TWO- EA simply doesn't care. Lets face it- they made a bundle and will continue to make a bundle. Who cares??! What title is next? That's all they care about and kiddies ....... that's all they should care about! Just ask their shareholders.

So, play or not. Don't you see it really doesn't make any difference......

I think the game gets more fun every time i play it, as i develop new tactics and kill more nubz :)
