    Re: M95 v.s. M24

Id go with the AT unlock.. compared to what you have as a vanilla AT that unlock is by far the best unlock in the game.

The sniper rifles M95 and M24 do the EXACT same damage to infantry, armour or no armour and the M95 is less accurate; the only difference is the glass penetration ability of the M95; something you wont have use for too often to be honest..

IMO the M24 is the better sniperrifle and the quickshot MEC and chinese sniperrifles are superb too so I bitterly regret unlocking the M95; Im sure some of you love it but it disappointed me..

I'd say the best unlocks are the AT semiauto shottie and the PKM or G36C, compared to what is available beforehand; my favourite has to be the G3 tho.. love the sound of it

If the author is wondering about unlocks, he needs to ask about himself what kits he plays / etc... From my personal opinion, if its sniper, I'm not so sure the M95 is really the way to go -- I tend to use the M24 more as of late, though it is nice to have the M95 for MEC/China.

If youre looking for a good all-around unlock, the G36C is great. Both autoshotties are also pwnage, but in reality it comes down to what you play the most...

Where is everyone getting this info that the M95 does the same damage as the M24? The M24 does 95 dmg and the M95 does 190 (that's 2x the damage per shot for those math majors out there). The M24 is slightly more accurate [.01 deviation vs .02] and has a faster reload. The M95 is slower, louder but goes through armored glass.

If I want to kill a target with M24 and if its not possible to headshot him, I have to hit him 2x with that rifle AND then pistol him once or twice.

With the M95, I have to hit him ONCE and pistol him once or twice (depending on armor). The problem people are having with the M95 is the crosshairs aren't as good as the M24 (but the M95 doesn't need that accurate of crosshairs because it was originally designed to hit centre of mass -- not headshots).

The BASE damage for the M95 is 190. The damage done to a human is 95 with or without armor. The M24 does 95 against no armor but only about 64 against armor (assault/AT/support). This is because the ammunition material for the M95 is 39 while the M24 and all other handheld bullet weapons are 38. This is also why the M95 can penetrate glass and damage vehicles more than other rifles.

I did the mistake of unlocking the sniper rifle... mostly because I barly snipe...

But personally, I prefer the standard mec sniper rifle...

Its not as accurate, not as powerful... but the semi auto option with jucy clip is what I love about it...

besides power and accuracy... I agree... can not be compared...
I just like to keep my scope on the target all the time... not reload

Yeah, I prefer the semi-autos too. M95 would probably be my last unlock.

m95 sucks ass. it was my 1st unlock and i've used it alot. it can't hit anything worth ****, no matter how close you are or where you put the crosshair.

I choose the M95 over the M24 simply because M95 will pierce a players armor.

If you can't kill better with the M95 then you need more practice

I think there might be a glitch in the game with the M95. I love the rifle and i've hit some very long shots with it, but some games it seems useless. It almost feels like every once in a while for the duration of a round the rifle can't seem to hit anything. Its consistant too, misses constantly for a round, then can hit the same shots continuously the next. Its very strange but seems pretty apparent on sharqi where i know i'm shooting the same shots over and over and sometimes i can't miss, others i can't hit anything. Of course lag/packet loss might be a factor.

As for which is better I believe the M95 is great if you want to help your team. You can take a LOT of enemys down to two bars very quickly with the gun and a squad will have no trouble clearing an area after you have done most of the work for them. I love playing as sniper, but if your gonna do it then do it right. Spot everything you can for your team and protect flags and assets as much as you can.

I never have problem missing with the m95. Whenever I aim for the head, I hit the head. Whenever I aim for the torso I hit the torso.

Everything else is human error. Both rifles take 2 shots to kill a full health person so don't say bs.

when us m24, else it's m95. The problem with m95 is the bulletdrop and the noise, u can hear it mile off.
