The M95 is only a substitue for the SVD and type 88, the M24 is the better than the M95 and should be used instead of it the extra deviation on the M95 is about 2 game inches per 100 meters.
Personally, I prefer the M24. Yes, it doesn't do as much damage to armoured infantry as the M95, but when you have the accuracy to aim for the head that doesn't matter
I'm always a lot more confident of hitting where I'm aiming when I use the M24.
Yeah....the m95 either misses or hits, its all about chance....the m24 will hit where you aim it at but the m95 doesnt do that 100% of the time for some reason....
M24 is more of a headshot sniper. It is very easy to kill stationary targets with this weapon and you can fire faster than you can with the M95. However, the M24 doesn't do as much damage as the M95 so you will need to pop 2-3 rounds into the enemy if you don't get a headshot.
M95 -- brings the guy down to 2 bars of life regardless of the armor he's wearing and where he is hit (1-2 pistol rounds is enough to take off his remaining life). M95 is also good if you're camping a base where helicopters and jets spawn (can snipe out the pilots).
I prefer M95 at closer ranges simply because if I fire at a moving target, I can aim for his centre of mass and kill him alot easier than if I tried headshotting him with M24.
This is off topic, but How did you get the american weapons to show up on your stat sig? do you do it from User CP?
Regardless if the person is wearing armor or not it still takes TWO shots to kill someone with a full health bar with either the M95 or M24.(unless its a head shot.)
The advantage of the M95 over the M24 is its ability to penetrate glass on vehicles.
The advantage of the M24 is the smaller width of the crosshairs yielding more precise shots usually.
When American I always chose the M24.
m24 has more bullets and is more accurate..if u camp in teh rite places ...taking out ppl in one hit is easy...and since its impossible to hit most moving targets cuz u have to do alot of predicting...go for the stationary targets
Personally, I find m24 the best. It has the best accuracy I believe, because its been proven in game files the deviation is smaller.
I like how it sounds, I like how it feels, I like how profesional it looks.
M95 is a good sniper rifle and I do use it often. I don't like however how loud it is, how bad it looks(doesnt look too stealthy/profesional).
However, recently I have been using the SVD whenver I play MEC. Believe it or not, its a very good sniper rifle for maps like Karkand. Just recently I got a score of 58 by using only the SVD, I outscored all the armor whores without even getting into any armor/turrets. Since then, Im using it a lot.
I really dont understand why people dont like it. Its fairly easy to kill things with it, and its accuracy is not bad at all.
I dont like the chinese rifle because it jumps up way too much when you shoot.
ok here the BEST adive you can get there is no wind no bullet travel time POINT AND SHOOT ya don't need to leed or anything m95 doesn't suck if u say it sucks you suck
I like the M95, good replacement for svd and chinese sniper, and it can shoot through windows, once i even shot down a heli with it without killing the pilot
To me, the M95 and the M24 are the same exact thing. I dont notice a change in accuracey, nor do I have the skill to shoot people out of jets while there flying 500 meters above the ground. But I like the M95 better, becuase it looks better, sounds better, and gives you a "Im holding a .50 caliber, and Im such a bad ass" type of feeling. Even though it takes two shots to the chest to kill a soldier, while in real life it take 1 shot within a 1 foot radius to blow a goat up into hundreds of pieces.
A couple more things not mentioned yet:
First, it's not that big a decision any more since you will get more unlocks very quickly. Second, you may want to either download excentriker's unlock mod and try out all the unlocks in SP or find an unranked server with unlocked weapons.
