        GREAT IDEA!

        Picture this:

On the 64-player Wake there would be one commander, one guy manning the Phalanx, 29 people on board the Chinook and that one late-spawning smacktard noober back on the deck running back and forth screaming his lungs out: "Hey, gimme a ride!!"

OR is waiting where the chopper spawns and flashbangs/teamkills for it when everyone respawns from being killed in the chopper by a UAV/Jet/Chopper/Jeep/APC/Tank or all of the above.

Unlike in BF2:SF, CTOL jet fighters, such as the F/A-18E Super Hornet, cannot take off or land on the real Wasp Class. Only VTOL helicopters and STOVL jet fighters, such as the AV-8B Harrier II Plus and F-35 JSF, can.

I belive that picture taken with the 2 ciws at the rear was before it's refit.

That said, the Phalanx and RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) look similar from a distance, same type of white radar structure and look.

'According to the article about Daisenryaku 1941 for PS2 in Shuukan The PlayStation 2, Vol.304 (2002.09.27), the "Type 94, 40 cm" 46 cm gun on the real Yamato and Musashi had a range of 41.4 klicks. In modern terms, if the gun fires from the Tokyo JR Station (train) in downtown Tokyo, its 1.5-ton shell can hit Yokosuka in Kanagawa.' (O_O

Just a little bit more on the USS Essex: While I was in the Corps, I served on board the USS Essex as a VMA-311 Tomcat. We were the first Harrier unit onboard. OOH-RAH! We actually caused severe damage to her flight deck with the jet blast! Semper-Fi.
