Half-Life 2: Lost Coast

I just started playing this and WOW. This is incredible. The graphics are the best I have ever seen, the gameplay is good ol' Half-Life, and they even have some commentary in there.

I played with all settings on as high as possible (including HDR). My system specs are in my sig.

For some reason steams telling me its not realsed yet sigh, oh well its my roomates account anyway so I dont care :p . I hope they improved on the complete lack of any good deviation with the gun tho.

edit: NM he had it set so it couldnt update, thank you very much service pack 2 you dirty *******. Anywho hope its good.

Yea, no screenys but the graphics are awsome. I love the new engines valve, id, n other companies are making now. Hopefully games soon to come will make use of these more readily.

Its not designed to be fun from a playing sense of view but as a tech demo of what Valve is working on. I personally think its absolutely fascinating and Im personally going to play this level over and over again to get ideas from it, as I love to create maps.

Yeah i think they made it mainly to show off the HDR. I realy wish HL2 had great shadows...

If you have HL2, yes.

Funny, it says my cpu doesn't meet minimum requirements, even though I have an AMD 3500+, lets me go ahead and play anyways.

Yeah my CPU sucks too :laugh: I need a 2.9 ( WTH? ) but I got a 2.8
Since it's free I'm downloadng it right...now.

ehh, well i was expecting it to be some expansion not a little hdr test... gj on the hdr, but my god i was hoping there would be lots of levels.

Thats aftermath which is the expansion and as valve quite clearly said its only a tech demo.
