I love the tanks, apc's and the other vehicles. They offer awesome chances for teamwork. 2 sqaud members and myself capped 12 points in a 64 player Karkand in one round with me driving an apc. But I've also gone into the same map and been raped using a apc or tank by spec ops and anti tank guys. It all depends on the tactics used by ur's and the enemy's team. That is why this game is so big on squad tactics.

if things were as most ppl wanted to, you would have to stop moving as soon as someone saw you and wait for them to go next to u and kill u... some ppl just want everything as easy as it can be... i saw somewhere someone saying that when u would get a vehicle on fire ppl should stay there untill it blew up instead of exiting it and run like hell... do u think this is normal?

Battlefield comunity is ruined since BF2 came out... Great game but too many new ppl to the game that came from games with no vehicles,

lets make this clear, everyone says stuff about "take tanks and apc's away because of whores" "take planes away beacuse of whores" "take helis away because of whores".... this stuff is really getting stupid... dont u ppl remember what game you are playing? i'll give u a hint (its not counter strike).

if dice made all the changes to the game that alot of ppl wanted this is what we would get:

-Only city maps
-no vehicles
-only playing in team and no lone wolves wich do alot of great work in my oppinion(friggin hell bf1942 had no squads and i saw alot better teamwork there than in bf2)

now with these features what game would u get? i'll give u a hint (its counter strike)

so ppl instead of saying stupid things against vehicles, why dont you just leave BF2 for once and go play something else that suits you better huh?

i'm not much of a vehicle player but i also wasnt in bf1942 and vietnam aswell, but i like to use them sometimes and they give an amazing feeling to the game, i just think alot of ppl in the currently playing bf2 are in the wrong game.

I have no problem with any of the ground vehicles in BF2.. with the
one exception that a tank shell doesnt totally destroy a chopper, which
is a total joke. The aircraft are the vehicles that need tweaking.. they
are too dominating in the game, and not to mention your oiwn teammates
spamming anything that moves, including yourself.. jet kiddies dropping
bombs just to drop them..

As far as the ground vehicles.. would you not expect to die from getting
hit with a tank round ? Would you not expect the same by getting run
over ? The ground vehicles are just about the only consistant thing
in BF2, imo.

you want to tweak something? tweak the aircraft.. put less of them
on the maps, decrease their armor, ammo, or something.. and to make
matters worse... all these jet and chopper morons actually think they
have skills..but if you look at their teampoints at the end of the round
most of them are near ZERO. (*yea, I know some of you chopper and
jet folks actually try to help the team, but for the other 99% of them,
they couldnt hit a barn with an atom bomb outside their precious aircraft.)

Well I would have been disappointed if there wasnt one pacifist in the
crowd.. and I STRONGLY disagree with your assumption that whoever
dominates the sky wins the war. On the contrary...I absolutely love it
when all the chopper and jet kiddies are chasing each other around the
skies.. makes more time for me to steal the game..

Jets are a total disgrace in the game, imo.. all I ever see is 2 smacktards
chasing each other around at mach 10.... wheee that sure helps the
team..

if the AA was worth a damn and the reload time wasnt greater than
the aircrafts CHAFF reload time, it would be much better..

yea Ive killed aircraft with it, but only 1 out of 10 attempts..and usually
when I have an enemy aircraft or other teammate also shooting at him
to draw his attention away from me..

I don't mind the ground vehicles I can use my AT kit all day long.
The choppers can get very annoying.

I'd kill for a AT/AA class switch option like in Battlefield Vietnam

yep totally agree, but the 'take planes away' do have a point. Sts they can be really annoying. But then whoever said in war that they were annoyed by the enemies weapons?!!!!! C'mon, next you'll be saying that it hurts too much to get shot in this game!!!!1

Ok,first I need to make a couple of points:
1.Pointing out flaws in the game is not neccesarily "whining"or "being a noob smacktard",it can be constructive critisism!
2.People should stop trying to use the "in real ife...."arguement because as far as Im aware Battlefield 2 is not a simulation,BF is not meant to be realistic it is more of an arcade FPS(if this wasnt meant to be the case then they have some serious problems),and the damage taken/given by vehicles demonstrates this.

Battlefield 2 has always and should always have vehicle's,it is what makes this franchise stand out from other FPS's,anyone who says they should be removed from the game is definatley playing the wrong game without a shadow of a doubt but anyone who says that the aircraft are not overpowered is either living in denial or playing a different game to me!

I can fly aircraft but I have to give respect to some players out there who are becoming extremley adept at flying the beloved Apache's and other lovley flying death machines.Over the last few weeks I have noticed an increasing amount of pilots improving their skills and getting very good at what they do and these numbers are only going to increase.Now,this shouldn't neccesarliy be a bad thing but when infantry have nothing to combat this death from the skies it can become frustrating.Sure,we have the odd stinger site dotted about but these are ropey at the best of times and any decent pilot and co-pilot team will always know where the AA is situated when they are moving in on a flag/base and take it out within seconds along with any downtrodden infantry who couldnt quite flee the area in time.

I dont accept the "just use a .50 cal..."argument either,any self respecting pilot will destroy your jeep or whatever land based contraption you have been foolish enough to clamber onto within seconds.

Tanks are very powerful and very effective BUT we can escape them or even try to take them out with AT,mines,C4,TOW'S ,we are literally spoilt for choice!BF:Vietnam had portable stingers and (dare I say it?)so did Joint Ops!Why cant the Anti tank class have the option of selecting a Stinger instead?They could even make it an unlock and make people work for it a little.

No player here who plays on decent servers can honestly say that the aircraft are not overpowered ; I know how powerful aircraft are in real life and what effect they would have on a battle but going back to the point I made at the beginning this isnt meant to be real,its meant to be fun and there has to be a balance for gameplay sake.

All the people that are shouting that "the whiners should leave and play something else" should perhaps listen to what is being said and accept that,just maybe a few changes will improve the game.Personally I have become bored of constantly being blasted by Helis and planes,without having a means to fight back.Apart from that aspect i do actually enjoy the game but will restrict my gaming to custom maps where the creaters have recognised the major imbalances and addressed it by either reducing the number of aircraft or providing an abundance of AA.I suspect that many other gamers will not be so patient and will indeed leave in their droves which surely cannot be a good thing.lol,I can hear it now,"good riddance to the whiners,all they do is moan,and demand nerfs....."-I just want balanced gameplay,I dont want CS:S,DOD,COD,or some MS flight sim,I want it all in 1 game and BF is the one, that at the moment is doing that the best ,it just needs some tweaking.

Oh,one other thing ,I think the changes in the recent patch which allow mines to be "shot"away is pretty poor and makes the engineers ability to disarm them redundant,does Dice hate engineers or something?:laugh:
