3 : and offcourse you never noticed a bug, very strange because lots of bugs are server related (wrong tag bug for example) , meaning you get the same information of the server like anyone else, maybe you are blind
And also, DICE send them a preview copy with the meaning to be reviewed.
second, ALPHA build my @SS , it's an expansion pack, they use the same engine, gameplay, .... as the original game, it's more an official MOD, nothing very new about in in terms of code.

1) As a matter of fact, most people who play this game are between 20 and 25, despite common belief. Also, the majority of people who are boycotting the expansion pack, or all EA games, are in this age group, and do it to make a point.
2) You've never played FH or BF1918 or GC or DC or any other good mod then. DICE's expansions pale in comparison to this amazing, free community work.
3) Thats nice. If you are one of the .0001% who hasn't experienced major bugs in BF2, copy this into your signature... sheesh.
And also, I am highly repulsed by EA's inability to fix BF2 by fixing its bugs or adding the content they never finished. WAIT A MINUTE. In BF2, they actually put in more content into the alpha then into the betas or actual release... so, logically... SF is just going to a bit of the mediocre amount of content it has chopped out.
Not to mention SF is going to be at least as buggy as BF2. if you follow EA's logic: Release buggy game, reap massive profits, 'patch' game as a joke to act like you are doing something to satisfy the unsatisfied purchasers.
I'd rather eat a box of nails than buy a virus for my computer. I am 100% convinced, based on the progression of patches and errors, that the next step for DICE in creating a "better game" will be releasing a 30 dollar expansion, and it will literally be a CD filled with an installer for the nastiest computer viruses on the planet.

1.) Poor teens can't afford the game because they don't have 1000 bucks to spend updating a 2 year old computer in order to get the game to play.
2.) Well, welcome to the world of BF2, where each update is a step towards creating a supervirus.
3.) You're probably mentally retarded if you can't find the bugs. Literally everyone I know either can't play the game with a system that is well within the bounds of the recommended system requirements, or they have awesome systems that crash when playing the game.

There are plenty of reasons:
1) BF 2 has problems that should've been fixed before its release, but we're still dealing with them now. You've paid for a sub-par product, and now you want to pay the same company again? Way to send the right message.
2) There are already Mods coming out, such as Project Reality (within weeks now), that alter the game enough to make it interesting again. If anything, the smaller mini-mods keep us busy until the bigger Mods arrive. If you pay for SF, you're paying for the same kind of things that Mods will bring, except that SF won't be as thorough, community-driven, or well-supported.
3) BF:SF isn't an EXPANSION at all. It does nothing to expand the current gameplay, instead it REPLACES it. Can you use the new SF weapons, etc. on the old maps? No. Can you engage in SF gameplay in the same game that others engage in regular gameplay? No. SF is a separate game built on 80% of the same stuff as BF 2. If you want a lesson on how expansions should work, look at Planetside and their expansion, Aftershock.
4) By buying SF you're playing into EA's hands - they figure they can add some new content, not worry about integration, and make a second windfall on a game that they developed a while ago. You are helping cash in on a consumer-punishing product plan. If we have problems with a way a company is doing business, what are we going to do - write our Congressmen? No, we let them know that releasing broken products won't fly around BFland, and we do it by not giving them our money.
Will others buy it? Yes. But who cares? We're talking about doing the right thing, and hurting their sales numbers enough for them to realize that the emails they've received about BF2 being broken aren't just idle complaints that can be silenced with nightvision and grappling hooks.
Finally, of course people will do whatever they want - you seem to think that I'm going to everyone's houses and threatening to break their knees if they buy SF. I'm not.
I am, however, voicing an opinion that differs from yours, so you're going to have to live with it. Anytime you want to make a cogent argument to the contrary, we're all waiting.

So you'd rather pay 20 or 30 bucks on a half-done, shallow product while you still have a broken game engine, rather than waiting on a well-supported free mod? I don't comprehend this logic.
