it is possible but need to hit right in the head...
i was practicing this ting with my clan mate and i was in the blakhawk 5meters from him in perfect hovering
.... he tried 5shots in my body and i dint feel anything... then he tried the head and BOMM head shot! then i was saying him WTH?? those glass are bulletproof only for the body or what???

I think they should make it 1shot kill anywhere when theyre in the chopper seat or w/e.

At the moment its still 1 to the head and 2 to the body, and the head is ****ing hard to hit when theyre moving.

Would make sniping pilots way more fun.

My 2 favorite pilot snipes:

On Clean Sweep, as MEC, the US attack chopper was tearing sh*t up at our airbase. He just kept doing passes blowing the hell out of everything. On his 3rd pass I sniped him out, not from the front but from the side. It took the gunner a good 4-5 seconds to realize he was pilotless, and just barely switched seats and hightailed it outta there before hitting anything.

On Mashtuur, as US defending the BH base, I hear the Skycow coming in again (they had been trying determinedly to fly in and steal the base). Standing behind the "gas station", I look straight up as it flys over me. I sniped the pilot through the floorboard glass, causing the chopper to sail over my head and crash, killing I think 3 or 4 guys still in it.

I've never seen it or been able to but I've heard stories...

It is 100% possible, just try to sneak to an enemy airbase and take out every pilot that just sits into the plane LOL, yesterday I took out a BH driver too: 2 frags and flag defend LMAO

This is tough to do, because as soon as I see someone running for the chopper, I'm zoomed in...waiting to greet him/her with a head shot. You might get lucky, if you get wounded with the first shot, but usually it's one shot, one kill.

Yeah...in your dreams! I'm usually a medic BTW and since I know you're there I'll be bunny-hop-proning my a** off all the way to the chopper (<--Note: This is the ONLY time I bunny hop, cuz I think it's only fair since you're spawn camping). Even if you hit me once I'll heal and spin the chopper before you nail me again...cuz you can spin it way before it gets up to speed.

I've been sniping pilots since I unwrapped my shiny new M95 before the patch. I have killed a pilot pretty much everytime I thought I should have; hover or slow hover, on ground, couple plain luck shots and, a jet pilot or 2 in the MEC spawn on Oman. NEat when you cap a chopper pilot and the gunner has no clue so he just sits there waiting for his medicine.

I gotta say that based on my experience, I think a head or body shot kills with this gun. It clearly negates body armor for kits using it such as Assault or Support. I'm not trying for the head specifically and I would say my shot kill ratio would be much worse if a body shot just wounds the guy to then fly away or spin.

I've sniped a bit in other games as well and am pretty good at it but I just go for center mass allowing some drop and Bam!!!

M95 does about 84 damage to the body regardless of armor so if the pilot got the tiniest bit of damage from another source he would die with one hit, but not if he was undamaged. Only a headshot is a sure thing.

ive done it a couple of times but u need the upgraded gun to do it

I did it one. I was on Sharqi by the crane looking out towards the mec flag at the bottom of the map and this mec chopper pops up from behind the wall, staring me right in the face. I locked onto the pilot's head and shot him with the m95, killing him. I just watched his co-pilot staring at me as the chopper dropped down and blew up. it was great.

I have done it with the upgraded sniper rifle at close range while it was still on the pad, but it is hard to do.
