taken out several chopper pilots myself.. jet pilots too.. (before they lift off)... picking off a dude in a hummer or vodnick coming at u full speed to run u over is the best though.. stops right before it runs u over.. its tha bes' feelin!

      1.
I suspect the pilot was heavily injured allready, Or I was the luckiest bastard there....

The pilot saw me (I was taking potshots at the helo)... he was comming to kill me with all 14 missiles.. I shot of 1 shot (in his general direction)... no mssiles.. he died and chopper chrashed

      2.
He was hovering 50 m away, capping a flag... line up a shot.. BOOM-Headshot
Dang! All in one shot? Man, the first kill you described should have been in a scene of an action movie. Anybody remember Rambo III? When Rambo was shooting at an oncoming russian attack chopper? LOL was it anything like that?

        Go figure.
LOL! That just wasn't you day.

Ive taken out a few stationary chopper/jet/humvee pilots.

I also took a pot shot at the canopy of a US attack helo fly 30-40 meters over head during the first match i played with the barret (obviously not directly over head) and took them out.

Never done it myself but I have been shot out of pilot seat by M95 twice.

I sniped a blackhawk pilot with an M95 while he was capping a flag. After the squad realized he had died they...for some reason...hopped out of the BH. They shot at me for about 2 seconds before the Black Hawk landed on two of them. (which i got kills for) and then i popped out and sniped the other two...By far the best bf2 sniper experience ive had...

Funny story, me and my clan mate were taking a boat on O Clean Sweep to steal one of their jets. We were both snipers and we got onto the end of their airbase and the BHawk spawned, there was 5 of them getting in so I shot the pilot with the M95, shot the right gunner, shot the guy from the left gun that got into the pilot seat, shot the guy from the back that got into the right gunner to kill me and shot the 5th guy in the back, all but the last were through the glass...awesome...

Re: Can a Sniper REALLY take out a pilot in ONE SHOT?

I usually fly Blackhawks and I've been sniped more than a few times early on, but not too often lately. Here's a couple ways I like to deal with them:

                    1. You know how snipers like to camp on the hill to the left of the helipad on the Oil fields map? Well last night there happened to be a couple of em gunning for me as I ran/jumped to the chopper. Knowing exactly where they were, I spun the cockpit away from them and took off, careful to limit the cockpits exposure to their fire. I climbed the hill and squashed em both like bugs!!! LOL

                    2. Whenever snipers are being a pain on one of the carriers, I take off in the hawk solo and spin around the superstructure to locate them, then I just line em up and jump to the appropriate gunners position and splatter em! Sometimes it takes a couple tries cuz they run, or I need to jump back on the controls to avoid a crash, but unless they got rockets, they're pretty well screwed.

I also like to find the enemy hiding out below decks on the carrier. I will come in and get you!

I've also taken out pilots of the cobra with the MEC APC on sharki peninsula. I was shooting at the cockpit (he he he) and i killed both the pilot and gunner. Cobra fell straight down onto the street where a teammate took it.

Yes, it is possible. Don't think I've ever done it, I tend to only snipe with m24, so not an option for me, but I've had it happen to me quite a bit.

Generally, it'll happen because some dork is camping the helipad/airstrip. The easy solution there is to spin the copter soon as you get in, so he can't get a glass shot, but you tend to tk the 10 other people playing with themselves right next to the copter.

This is tough to do, because as soon as I see someone running for the chopper, I'm zoomed in...waiting to greet him/her with a head shot. You might get lucky, if you get wounded with the first shot, but usually it's one shot, one kill.

ive blown up 2 bh with the m95, but never shot the pilot, just the metal part. but while i was in a blackhawk someone sniped my pilot and everyone started jumping out except me, i jumped into the pilot seat and flew away. great bf moment.

                                My 2 favorite pilot snipes:

On Clean Sweep, as MEC, the US attack chopper was tearing sh*t up at our airbase. He just kept doing passes blowing the hell out of everything. On his 3rd pass I sniped him out, not from the front but from the side. It took the gunner a good 4-5 seconds to realize he was pilotless, and just barely switched seats and hightailed it outta there before hitting anything.

On Mashtuur, as US defending the BH base, I hear the Skycow coming in again (they had been trying determinedly to fly in and steal the base). Standing behind the "gas station", I look straight up as it flys over me. I sniped the pilot through the floorboard glass, causing the chopper to sail over my head and crash, killing I think 3 or 4 guys still in it.
