Man, I must be doing something wrong with this game...

Hopefully this doesn't come across as a whine-thread, it's not my intention. More, advice seeing, I feel, cos, I gotta be doing something wrong.

I use to rule at BF1942. Was pretty damn good at BFV as well. For some reason, BF2 keeps owning me. Generally the ranked servers. Unranked doesn't seem to be so bad. I'm guessing therefore that on the ranked servers is where one is going to meet 99% of the decent players, although I could be wrong.

I've read in some threads about people hitting others a good couple of times, only to get one shot back that kills them. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but it keeps happening to me time and time and time again. I don't think it's recoil. I keep that damn thing on the guy the whole time. Doesn't matter if i'm prone, crouching or not. Doesn't matter if I initiate the firefight or not. 8 times out of 10, I come out the loser, and I don't know why...

Any advice? My stats show the whole story (Kanuna). It's just awful! :)

Anyway, rant/whine out, any constructive criticism is most welcome.

I looked up your stats and noticed you have about 8 hours play time, so maybe if you play longer, say when you reach to 20 hours, you'll get better. When I started playing BF2, I wasn't very successful for about 10 hours to 20 hours at first. But then I was gettign better and better.

Do you have Xfire? I can play with ya sometime and look at what you are doing. That way I can point out some things and give tips.

Is it worth installing? I only have GS installed at the moment and rarely use it for BF2.

My advice would be to stick with one kit and just keep practicing. You'll learn what tactics work best for you and you'll eventually see yourself improving. That's one thing I like about BF2 is how you can track your progress through the stats system. I could care less about rank, but it's nice to see my kill rates improve.

I find it better than GS because it is a small program and it is more popular than GS. And it is easy to use and it doesn't get in your way. And its easy to see what games your friends play, and easy to join them. You can just minimize it and it won't bother you. Mine is on most of the time. If you ever get to install it, just add me.
