    I will reply! not shafik!

You obviously have a misunderstanding of the tickets system in this game. killing more enemies does not mean you will win. capturing more flags IS WHAT CAUSES YOUR ENEMIES TICKETS TO GO DOWN. if he had only four hours on that account then that does not mean it is his sole account. and one more thing... it means he has a life to make him busy which makes me respect him even more.

      Thanks man. :)

You're right, it's not my sole account, but my K/D ratio on my main account isnt better. Nevertheless, I think I contribute far more to my team by capping flags and dying than by being in a tank for an entire round with a K/D ratio of 4:1. Once a grunt, always a grunt I guess.

Besides, stats are based on playing in ranked servers, which I hardly ever do. The tournament I played wasnt ranked, and the practices werent ranked. I find that unranked servers offer much more in terms of game play and teamwork.

The problem with BF2 is that its all about the glory and the grunt work goes way unrecognized. Its whoever can get in a tank, airplane, or helicopter first that winds up with + K/D ratios.

I know and have seen more people quit a server because the vehicles were taken before they could get their greedy little hands on them. BF2 does not reward squad work at all.

Yet your score per minute is very low, and when you look at YOUR stats you have only a terrible 1.08 K/D ratio with hand weapons, its your Aviator and Tank ratio's that drag your kill ratio up and not forgetting you DM kiddies favourite Karkand and its unequal amount of playtime.

In fact one could infer from your stats that you are a terrible infantry soldier with no real control of small arms, but a really good pilot..... i dont know how you can call others bad players though, the words Pot, kettle and Black spring to mind

Why do people have such fixations about kill ratio's in a TEAM game like BF2, cant you all go back to DeathMatch gaming (the clue is in their name DM  ) The most important role is commander after all, and by your reasoning they are the worse players, as they dont get any kills no more if they do a good job and hang back and actually COMMAND.

Not to mention engineers... AT guys...... medics...... oh well i guess Your "idea" wasn't so good after all

Of course i could finish in the same arrogant flame bait way you did, but consdiering your time on the account so far i think i will go with:
Stats don't lie, its not just you, some players just cant get the hang of the game, even after 300 hours..... you probably won't get better now but don't despair.

I actually totally agree with you there i don't know how many times I've been anti tank and died loads of times trying to take out a tank it kills my frag ratio but it sure helps the team taking that tank out.

thats just idiot talk man. K/D ratio is fun to watch, and to many its important... but it harldy equates to any form of "skill" or a "good player".

usually, when im looking at player stats, naturally i compare them to my own. thats not saying im trying to evaluate if their a good player... im trying to evaluate if im a good player....

                    (for the example below....
you = the person being evaluated
                    I = the evaluator)

take a persons over all global score and his total time playing the game... and look how long it took him to get there.... then do the same to yourself.

if i played less... well do the math.... at my current rate, when i get to the amount of time you put in... will i pass your global score.

kill death doesnt concern me that much... im happy if im 1 to 1...
but teamwork score does equate to skill in this game ... and dude yours is pethetic for somone who put in 300+ hours.

your a good piliot, and certainly competent in a tank... but hardly a well rounded player.

(I consider myself a rounded, descent player, and my opinions are based on compareing your stats to mine)

Duck, I actually have a better than average understanding on how the tickets work in this game. Take a overplayed map like Karkland. There is no bleed on that map except for 1 flag....meaning once the US takes 1 flag....the bleed stops. It then comes down to Kills and which side has better medics. Once that map reaches the stalemate at the river, there is no need for the USMC to cross. Too many times I see the USMC lose that map because they try to cross only to go to their certain death. When I play that map as commander, if it comes to that I will instruct the squads to not cross, have more medics, spread out, dont let them cross and control their K/D ratio. If we are down by more than 50 tickets, Ill have them retreat above the bridge flag and let the MEC take that flag. The higher ground makes killin MEC,s easier(that tactic is brought to you by Sassy). Most maps, you dont need a 60/40 ratio to get bleed. Your statement above is completely false.

                      Teaves,
Yet your score per minute is very low, and when you look at YOUR stats you have only a terrible 1.08 K/D ratio with hand weapons, its your Aviator and Tank ratio's that drag your kill ratio up and not forgetting you DM kiddies favourite Karkand and its unequal amount of playtime.
I wasnt sure if my 1.08 K/D is terrible so I went and checked the top 3 players and theirs is .83, .76, and .87 respectively. So your statement is wrong. As far as Karkland goes, that is unequal for everyone. Why even bring that up if its a fact.
.... i dont know how you can call others bad players though, the words Pot, kettle and Black spring to mind
I never called "others" bad players, just one. If you guys think Shafik is a good player.....fine, lets make him a great player. We can say hes the greatest player to ever play the game, but it doesnt make it true. If he dies 10 times for every 5 he kills and thats a good player, then Ive been playing this game wrong. Too many times Ive seen games come down to 20 points or less and on the score screen, you see guys who killed 3 and died 15 times. So in that respect, that guy is a bad player....which I guess, makes Shafik a better player than that. Teaves, Ill just say this, the rest of your post is ridiculous.

I'll have to agree with you there. Too many times I would defend bases rather than go out and take new ones. Especially as USMC on Sharqi, MEC on Kubra, China on Dragon, either on Mashtur and other maps where you had capturable main bases. That was a good 50% of my time in service. I have since stopped doing that. My teamwork compared to global is 1/4, .......defending caused that. Yours is 1/3....much better than mine. It has been climbing since I stopped that defending fiasco. Batgra, Im sure youll agree with me that playing whack-a-mole with the flags is more inline as to what Dice had in mind for the game. Defending flags, what was I thinking? So you are right...my teamwork score is pathetic and Ill get back to those whack-a-mole tactics that most seem to enjoy.

What you need to do is play the game. Keep defending or doing whatever it is you do. Just ignore the score, and keep in mind that it says nothing. Play a match or a tournament. Look at the scores at the end of those.

                          Re: Negative points for deaths

well in that long defence you posted... i do hope you see why it came to that.
your an admitted, average player, who (like most of us, myself included) has areas of strengths and weakness, with, possibly, a bit of a superiority complex.

its one thing to take the stats you value most and apply them to yourself... but when a game such as this offers such a wide variety of possible areas to focus on, it certainly isnt your place to state any player (new players aside) is "a bad player" ... if they have excelled in an area you have not. they just dont seem to meet *your* critera of accomplishment. your free to pick any reason you like to check out a persons stats of course... but the point is, one stat doesnt equate a "good" or "bad" player.

new players... well, lets give them a chance to fall into their place. 5 or so hours certainly isnt an accurate gauge to test their "skills", but if worse then you in every way (ratio wise i guess) equals bad in the grand scale of the player base, then id say its fair to say you suck too... as im sure someone is better in every aspect of the game.

So at least we all agree then, yoohoo313131 is a bad player at worse and an average player at best  and therefore it gives him some sort of complex. I guess theres hope for you yet, but i am not holding my breath.

Your example of how Karkand works answers your only question aimed at me, why i bring up that map. Its the map where ONLY K/D ratio's count and therefore where you get your weird attitude from that K/D means anything but your e-penis size (yours is only average i see  ) I am also sure we can all agree getting a high K/D ratio in tanks and jets is the easiest way in the game.

Take any map with all cappable bases and those "crappy" team players that cap flags can win the game with any K/D ratio they choose. Of all of your stats the one that speaks volumes is your popularity, can anyone else beat 28 server kicks??? Popular guy ain't you?

                              Re: Negative points for deaths

This idea that a kill/death ratio of less than one makes you a burden to your team is just wrong. You can play the entire game, get killed 100 times a round, not kill a single person, and still be an excellent player. The great thing abou this game is it's not simply about kills. You can do such great things supporting those who can rack up the high kills and making them more effective at it. Sure, you lost 100 tickets for your team. But, you indirectly cause the other team to loose 300 tickets because you kept your fellow soldiers from dying, loosing amo, and with the best resources available. This tunnel vision regarding the kill/death ratio as the only stat that matters is short sighted at best.

As for the whack-a-mole tactics being the intended play style....I'd dispute that. But first, I'd like to see some evidence that supports this theory that is a bit more concrete than "can't you see it noob?" and "it's how I and all my friends always play the game."

<joke>By the way, you're all wrong about how to figure out who is a good player and a bad player. The litmus test is simple: I'm good and everyone else is a bad player. There, argument settled. I'm glad we could clear this up. :-p</joke>

I play Anti-Tank most of the time. My K/D ration is terrible, but I help my team a lot! I wipe out the difficult stuff... and I enjoy the game. That is all I need!

It is very challenging to destroy a tank and stay alive. if the main tank gun does not spot you then probably the gunner will get you. You need to be a ninja while playing AntiTank!

You jump into jets which are untouchable most of the time and compare your stats to mine, for example?! you made me laugh man!

Who cares about the stats of the "top players"?! they are "top players" because they play more. so if you have a kid inside his room who has nothing to do, no homework... no school... no friends... no family... or whatever! then you call that a "top player"!! I call that a top loser.

I personaly cannot and will never play that much. I have a wife and a daughter who deserve my time more than any game. I also have a PhD to work on. Let me be a "bad player" if I can get those other things right.
