You need to dial back your bitterness. It's all important.

I'd like to see the people who can't play be able to enjoy the game, but the bottom line is that once they DO get it working, they're going to face the same gameplay issues that the rest of us (who have been playing) are identifying.

More important than most of the issues posted is the lack of new maps and gameplay types to keep the game fresh. Majority of posts on there list insignificant issues in comparison.....

Probably the people feel that EA/DICE already know that they must fix the red/blue tag bug, so they felt that we must tell them about other important issues.

Likewise. I'm stunned that the bulk of posts on that thread are all about the same 3 issues which to me arent much of a damn issue at all. Nice one BF2 community, looks like the next patch will address these 3 insignificant issues instead of more important stuff like new game features.

Translation of translation: EA continues to favor the crybabys, no matter how much they cry about how they are being ignored. It's really too bad people are sore about things like bunnyhopping, "Noob tubing", and other gameplay issues that people are strictly sore losers about.

                2 things.....

                1) does this guy ever offer anything other than negitivity towards anything? i mean all he does is say we cry, winge and bla bla bla... Its getting a little old. Did someone steal your candy when you were a kid or something?

All EA are doing is trying to get a feel from the community this time about what is a priority fix, and when they feel they have more than enough to start a patch on perhaps they will or perhaps they wont. Im not defending them, but i give them credit for involving the community this time in what would seem a more fashionable way.

                2) bunnyhopping? its annoyin yes... but id love to bunnyhopers try bunnyhop out of the path of my granade biach!

More important stuff to you is new features? So the red/blue, the server browser, the hit boxes, the parachute, the c4 bug, the autobalance, server port displaying incorrectly, having half your squad moved to the other team when autobalance decides to work, AA being more like AFA (Anti-Friendly-Aircraft), and a host of other gameplay bugs are fine with you so long as you get a new map? or something....

You MUST get the foundation right before you can go adding on features. I know yes i would love to see some new weapons, or maps, vehicles , the illucid Hovercraft, or number of things added to the game... But i would prefer to have the game itself working flawlessly to begin with.

To put it another way, lets build a 80 story hi-rise building... 5 yrs on its done. Tenants move in, and notice that things arnt right... The builders are offering to fix all that, but you want a Pool on the 69th floor. What good is there in putting a pool on the 69th floor when level 0 is cracked and risking the entire building of collapse.

Not trying to have a direct go at you, but just illistrating that perhaps the game needs to be solid before they go around adding new features that will no doubtably add more problems being that the inital issues were not fixed first.

Point taken. However a lot of "desired changes" listed are "bugs" which DICE probably knew about 24hrs after the latest patch came out which will be rectified anyway. So people should stop wasting their chance to voice their "3 biggest problems" telling DICE the same bug issue over and over again - how many people do you need to tell them the same bug over and over again?

As for gameplay "tweaks" like the bunnyhopping, parachute not opening at low heights, etc, which would you rather have - new maps, content and gametypes, or things people want tweaked but can be worked around in game?

If we want to use analogies, if you jumped out of a copter and died when you hit the ground because its too low to open a parachute, do you keep jumping out of the copter? No, you try another mode of transport or get your pilot to land on the ground for you.

What cant be worked around without voicing it is the fact the game is pretty limited in scope - its obvious people want more urban maps, weapons, and something other than "conquest" in the game. That seems more important to me than concentrating on a gameplay issue (not a bug though).

Or am I a bit deluded?

Who cares about a few gameplay problems? Most of us that can't play the game love the game and don't have any complaints when it rarely DOES work. People need to stop whining about jumping and the rare tag color issue, I'm sure its a lot worse than not being able to get into a game! If you can't stand "bunny hoppers" M203 their asses... or send a rocket up their butts, stop whining and just deal with it. If some guy can shoot more accurately than you while he's jumping around chances are he'd murder you on the ground even quicker. If an ally has a red tag once a game swallow the negative 6 points and deal with it. If you don't like it maybe you should trade rigs with someone who can't even get into the game.

                        Logic:

                        1.) Fix game install issues.
2.) Fix gameplay issues once everyone can play.

                        Done.

PS: And you see what the reverse logic does by looking at the "Client support" and seeing how many problem threads there are now with the new patch. They fixed a few gameplay issues and now I'm guessing 2x as many people can't play the game.

Okay, so what are the main issues then? You can't even list one because you just don't want to admit that you know those are the main issues. You suck, not the BF2 community. We actually request what we want, and it just seems to be that IF EVERYONE IS ASKING FOR THEM, WOULDN'T YOU CONSIDER THEM IMPORTANT?

Maybe because only people that can play the game can complain about gameplay issues? Go to the Client support forum and read real complaints.

yay at last... something we can agree on.

On a side note, To another recent post in this thread... I do agree we need more features ie: Game Types, Urban Maps.. but i too would love to see more forest maps, or mountain like map... I love urban, but its fun hiding in the bushes and setting up C4 traps for the enemy to walk into. One map i particularly would enjoy playing would be as follows..

Heavy on the Tree's, and with a river in the centre... 2 bridges and maybe 2 low crossings in the water for when bridges are down. Nice high hills on either side of the map, with some bush huts and pleanty of outposts/outlooks. I have actually started tryin to map this myself but i doubt that i will end up finishing it. Anyways a map like that would be fun, dirt tracks to race along similar to Shongra Stalemate. With a little less water.

The amount of people whining about rabbits is pathetic. It's not even worth addressing whe bugs like the red teamnames and server filters bugs exist.
