when the F*ck are they gonna fix the CD-key problem? this is Bullsh*t
when I reinstall BF2 and install 1.03 patch it works. but as soon as when someone else plays on another Windows XP account they get the cd-key problem, which then creates the error on the original account that I used to install BF2. so when ever I install bf2 and the patch, you can't play the game on another windows xp account or I have to uninstall and reinstall again for it to work on any windows xp account.

This is also a problem for quite alot of people. the game has become unplay-able when you have more then one person in the family who plays BF2

While they're twiddling they're thumbs they should be creating maps for a patch. Hit us off with a map pack with 5 maps... that would be nice.

The only thing i really want them to fix is the browser. They killed it. Yeah I have a favorites button now, but I cant search for anything anymore. Everytime I try to search for something, it comes back with no servers. The only way I can find a map I want is to sort it by map type and scroll down to the map. Same with the name.

You people are overreacting, this is standard PR by EA. They're evaluating the results of the 1.03 patch, and they're just holding their tounge. I'd be surprised if they didn't release another patch just to fix the server browser issues.

Maybe half you guys need a PC or OS upgrade. I have very few issues you all talk about. Also I do not run a bunch of programs on my gamers PC, its all games no IM or anything else. Maybe just Maybe its not EAs game buggy, its something in your PC causing it to freak. I could be off base here but considering all the things that happen in a game and the amount of people playing at the same time, the game rocks and is very close to being perfect. So there are alittle bugs to deal with, its LIFE live with it. Nothing or No one in this world of ours is perfect, NOTHING.

My advise, look at what you have, play to have fun and stop nit picking the small stuff. You may see that this game has far less issues then others out there and is lots of fun.

EA makes bad games. This is the way of the universe. All we have to do is wait for someone to do something awesome with BF2 just like what was done with BF1942(Ex. Desert Combat)

I liked many aspects of the new patch. However, my son cannot play the game on his XP account due to the CD key encryption. Clearly I will not purchase the expansion unless this is fixed.

Most of the other gripes about BF2 are due to the community itself. If, and it's a big IF, folks wanted to really enjoy the tactical, squad-based gameplay then BF2 has the tools to get the job done.

It can get frustrating seeing soldiers pretending to be bunnies, that lone squad member take off in the boat leaving the rest behind, or being killed by a team mate as you wait around for a ride. Then there's those only concerned about points and nothing else. If anything killed BF2 it was the community not the game or its developers.

And EA doesn't develop games really, they mostly contract various studios and publish them.

It STILL lists a large number of 0-ping servers, you can't select more than 6 filters (which is a huge bug for me), and it's generally boggy and slow. It's still slow and mushy on my 3500+ 1GB machine, which is unacceptable. How can browsing servers in Steam be so streamlined, and this is so gummed up?

The browser problems are still widespread. I think that needs the most attention right now.

I don't know. Maybe it's just the way I think but when I first saw the browser and realised that it didn't have everything I needed I just got a third-party one (ASE & BF2 Autoloader) now I couldn't care what EA do to the browser as it could never (imho) be as good as the ones I use .

Hope they fix it for you and the other though !

Last night I took off in the Z-10 helicopter from the Chinese airfield on Wake Island and was promptly shot down by teammates with Eryxes who wanted the chopper.

Hooray immersion.
