We have no news regarding further patches for the game at this time.

We're continuing to send your comments and feedback into the developers, but right now there is no talk of a further patch.

This does not mean there will not be one, neither does it mean there will be one, it just means that so time to evaluate the sucesses and failings of the 1.03 patch needs to be taken before making the patch decision.

Note: I'm posting that for people that are looking for info from EA, not to create a war thread (against EA). I just want to give a bit of info for the players having big issues with the lastest patch.

I'll not by any expansion until I get info about it after it's release and that it fixes many issues with BF2 and BF2:SF.

I am sure they'll need to include a patch for BF2 before they release BF2:SF and if they release SF without a patch or anything upon release, then you can't blame EA if you buy it and have the same issues you do now.

You'll need BF2 to run BF2:SF no doubt, and if it's not patched by then, it's gonna be a big F-UP for EA/DICE.

EA makes bad games. This is the way of the universe. All we have to do is wait for someone to do something awesome with BF2 just like what was done with BF1942(Ex. Desert Combat)

wtf is this!??!?!!? dam this really sucks, if they dont put out a fix for all the issues that this game has, they better release the source code for bf2 so other more skilled developers from the community can patch the game! this lack of support is despicable...

actualy this would mean a totaly disaster, we need at least a hotfix for 1.03!!
If they didn't bring u a patch who was good, well, they just need to keep patching, simple as that.

For example, VALVE, those guys haven't got many bugs in there game (HL2, CS:S, ....), but they bring patches out nomather what, and keep doing that

Before 1.03 they said it was around the corner. That around the corner lasted from august until october...now they're saying that there isn't any plans for another patch! I figured a new patch release in December '06.

EA needs to get there act together and start making thing right instead of releasing buggy games then when they release a patch it also buggy,either send your programmers back to school or get new ones that know wtf there doing when it comes to working on things

yeah, this game still kicks the crap outta alot of games but its almost as eqaully buggy...they should at least say they have plans for a patch so they dont make things worse...whos running EA/DICE?...Bush?

The programmers clearly know what they are doing if they can sucessfully make a game of this magnitude. They do not, however, have hours and hours to sit around testing their creation: that's what the testers are for. I think poor testing/feedback combined with tight deadlines and general crap from EA sort of 'cramp dice's style', if you follow my meaning.

And if you're saying the programmers are rubbish and don't know what they're doing simply because there are bugs...then you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

the only techical issue i have with the new patch is the browser doesnt work they need to at least fix that.
