I Miss Sniping

I used to love the sniper class in BF and BFV, I would hide in the bush help my team take out some baddies and have a good time picking people off. I dont find the sniping in BF2 fun at all. I know somebody will tell me to learn to shoot but I dont agree, I spent most of last night doing what I have always done with great success in the old games and coming up way short, or to get shot by some retard and his medic rifle.

Why did EA kill the sniping class so badly. It used to be really fun, now its very frustrating.

I have been playing BF2 since it came out and I think overall I enjoyed playing BFV more. It was laggy in spots and the choppers ruled, but I enjoyed the guns and really liked carting people around in the huey slick. The new choppers are no fun at all.

I love the new graphics and some of the features but I really miss some of the older two versions and their game play. I know ill probably get flamed but you gotta admit, the music in BFV was fun, and the reticule options were cool too. "Your not going to survive long in nam"

The choppers in BFV were n00bifed and the whole game sucked, the snipers in BF2 i don't think are that bad they just take practise and don't expect to hit every shot.

I miss sniping from BF1942, it was a hard art to master, but once you did, it was awesome. sniping in BF:V was to easy, the crosshairs never moved.

I think if you have the target on the guys head and you shoot, he should die. Half the time if I am lucky enough not to waste a full clip trying to hit a guy ill hit him once and he will kill me from miles away with a gun that shouldnt even have a chance at me.

The choppers were noobified but they were enjoyable to fly and I found them very fun. A lot of people really hated them, but if your team was good you would knock them out of the air in no time. All you had to do was be at a bit of a distance with a PBR or Sa7 and they would fall easily.

The new game nothing takes out choppers or planes. If the other team has a good pilot they never die. The AA is a joke and the plane always blows up the guy trying to hit them with the AA. Wake island is almost impossible to hit a plane or chopper with AA..

The choppers in BFV sucked, i got in them and could backflip them it was pathetic there was no learning curve they were designed for 8 year olds who can't do something for more than 5 minutes without getting bord.

I always use the sniper class....its way harder to snipe in that games like call of duty etc...but when u get used to it u can do some serious ownage with it. I took down 3 choppers with the m95 this morning on wake island. the m24 is was more accurate tho and takes down infantry with ease, just takes ages to get used to it. When i first started i SUCKED at sniping but now i got the lead rite im always takin guys down. But like the guy sed earlier dont expect to hit with every shot:p

I dont agree, I dont think a game like this should have a learning curve, they havent geared it as a sim its a shooter. Everything else you can just run and gun. If they were going for realistic they messed up the rest of the game. Thats cool, a lot of people probably like that there is a challenge to flying and im not saying your opinion is wrong I just dont feel the same myself. I just found that the older games offered more fun up.

I cant figure out why I think that I just do. Maybe its because the whole war concept with all online people was new, and now its old. I really like BF because of the variety of maps. It had something for everyone and each map was very different. BFV was an aquired taste, I really didnt like it at first but after I got the hang of it, I started to really have fun, and I liked doing the obscure stuff like sitting in a PBR boat and shooting down enemy choppers or taking a APC into the bush where you were almost off the map and shooting planes and choppers down who didnt even realize you were there.

I enjoy the new team based play in BF2 and I like a few of the maps but I dont like the weapons all that much. I agree the graphics are stunning and all in all they have improved the gameplay quite a bit but I still miss the old games...The funny part is now that I have played BF2 I cant go back either. Although I love the features in the old games I find playing them, they look crummy now (they used to look awesome) and the features I really like in the new game arent there like running.

The GFX for this game while they look great are NOT sniper friendly. What you use for cover (shadows, bushes & grass) effectiveness all depends on the other guys VIDEO SETTINGS (draw distance, lighting & such).

thry yhave to put the accuracy up by about 10 times i think. a prone zoomed in headshot grom less tnan 100m does not kill anyone wtf?

WTF, the pistols are even more accurate in this game. I've pistoled a sniper to death from 200m away when I should have been owned. He got off 3 shots at me too.

I don't know what's the problem here.. As A sniper I have 606 kills and 503 deaths... with my rifle, I have 376 kills with an accuracy of 42 percent. Sometimes I spend entire rounds without dying and just plugging away at people . I have no clue _at all_ what the hell you're complaining about with the sniper rifle.

Lol you have a KD ratio of 6:5 with the sniper rifle and you say you spend entire rounds without dieing? I smell not truth.

hey well the sniping can be difficult for people that are just beginning. like my friend who just bought the game and sucks balls at sniping he would go angry when he shot at someone liek 200m away and they wont go down. i tole him in the game they made kind of a bullet drop, but hes stubborn and didnt believe me, and kept shooting
