yeah i did that. once i was assault then i saw an infantry between north base and airfield. then i aimed over him and shot and i got luck and hittet him then i got my baretta with 1 shot dead.

The boat is probably the only good bit of advice, the bunker tops are extremely exposed from the sides and rear. Personaly i just take a boat out 300m and snipey snipey, ofcourse Im just hoping we have some good flyboys on our team or im a sitting duck

lol hasnt neone ever thought about using the bunkers b4? i bet that in most games 80%, ill find (nd kill) a sniper that is on the top of a bunker

The boat however is a good place to shoot from, the only time i got killed on there was when a commander artied me but that has been the only time. neway well done for tellin everyone about my technique lol

The point is not the fact that you are ON the bunker, it's the fact that you are very hard to HIT whilst on the bunker, unless you are flanked.

When lined up behind that pink metal chimney, you get a semi decent field of view looking OUT, but you have excellent cover from incoming fire, only a sniper rifle has the accuracy to get though the little gap, and even then it's a tough shot.

thats all well and good but as this is such widely used, most times most people will b flanked not from the back but the side. You are extremely vunerable here thats my point.
Most times the best spots are just on the ground in the bush.

No offence but have you actually played Wake much? On the servers that I play on I've hardly ever seen anyone on top of the bunkers, most people don't even know you can jump up there by crouch/jumping onto that pipe.

If you are flanked then too bad, try throwing a few claymores to your flanks, that might help.

I would like to contribute with a good sniping spot.

At the Airfield, behind the UAV trailer. If you stand on it's ledge from behind (AND IT IS DESTROYED), you can shoot through it. The other team will never know what hit them. I had to quit when the commander dropped a supply box on it...

The first sniping pointed out, atop the bunker in the airfield, works well. I have done this many times with both sniper and anti-tank, and it has been a good spot, nobody looks up there. Only thing you are vunerable is artilarry, jet, and helos.

Yeah, I was on the recieving end of that same spot today. I was sniping at the south base as USMC while the chinese were pushing at us from the beach. There was a sniper on top of the bunker, it was pretty tough shooting through that little hole.

There are 1000's of BF2 servers, the chances of running into you (or any other forum member) is low enough to take the 'risk'.

So no, I haven't seen an increase in people being able to '****ing find me' all of a sudden, but thanks for the concern anyway.

While on the topic, why give away tips at all? What if a good pilot gives away his tips and then due to a 1 in 1000 chance (if that) he meets someone who read his tips. OMFG advantage gone WTF will I do?!?!?

So thats you! DAMM your a good shot. Just a note...Concrete bunkers have a pipe, going up the side. One can jump up the pipe. You got to hit it straight tho. I hope no one in my clan reads this!!!!! ; )

I understand that this is an old thread, but I found out about hiding on top of those bunkers from seeing people do it. I do use them though as they are good spots, but I ALWAYS make it a point to check those bunkers now. Against any good players you aren't goint to last up there as they're well enough known spots.
