How are people destroying M1 with 1 hit?

I am frequently seeing LAV's taking M1 tanks out with 1 shot. I just had full health and was almost 80% hidden between two buildings. The shot hit me in the right-front (on the body not the treads, the treads where hidden) and destroyed me. I had 100% health. (Not even a small ding from hitting something)

Arg. Its balance issues like these that make this game unplayable. Its bad ebough any noob with a joystick and fly around at their leisure and rack up 200 pts rounds but damn, a fooking LAV hitting a tank it its most armored area and destroying with 1 shot. Ugh.

Another game that belongs in the arcade.

it is possible to one shot kill you from the front but only w/ tank shells, tows, etc. the lavs cannon wont do it.

iirc the apc tow does same damage as a tank shell. but if you say so.

Never seen an LAV or any other APC do such damage, but the tanks definately should be fixed in that respect, it's just pathetic for game-play when you roll up, nail a tank and take off 1/3 of his health, and he hits you and takes you down to 3 bars and just shy of being on fire.

Nope, that is exactly what happened. It was my buddy shotting me which we recorded on fraps.

Nope. See my other post. And in case you didn't know, when you are killed it lists the weapon that did it.

Maybe someone put one C4 and blew it at about the same time the APC got you. . .so the actual kill was recorded by the APC, but most of the damage was done by the 1 C4.

I can one shot kill a tank with a TOW or HJ-8 by hitting the front or back (flat side) of the tread - that's the only one-shot kill I've ever seen that didn't involve two C4s.

It's a ****ing main battle tank moron. It's designed to take a beating. You can't have APC's able to take a tank out in 1 shot by itself. That's just ****ing retarted.
