They got themselves pushed back that far, you're doing them a favor by shortening the torture.

Plus base-raping is good experience for the losing team and helps keep them focused in general on not playing the game in a way were it happens again. Played right, they'll end up with a higher score than if they had the whole map to roam around on.

Also helps people learn that owning flags is good and if you're not part of the solution then you're the problem.

Honestly I'll get into their capped airbase spawn as much as possible, it's not raping if they have the option of spawning elsewhere.

IMHO it's fine if it's their last base or if they have five others. What I'm not ok with is when people sit in the other teams last base and cover all of the spawn points so you can't spawn without instantly getting shot and your only other option is to not even play. At that point it's essentially legalized mass stat padding.

I don't mind base camping but when you just sit there without even moving your crosshairs and rack up tons of kills, there's something wrong.

I agree with what Bob said on the first page, I been camped a lot and not always when the uncapables are the only flags left but I usually will try a time or two to respawn as a sniper and toss my claymores before i get killed and then hit enter stay at the select screen and go have a smoke. Maybe it will be over when I come back. If Im on the side that is attacking I usually make sure no one gets out of the area to cap some of the other flags, as I just refuse to do the instant kill thing. It always makes the loosers leave the server.Red.

I can see both sides of it. I prefer going all out and not limiting play.

No, no u did get the thing about war right but BF2 is not war. BF2 is meant for having fun unlike war. And i'm not saying i'm some sort of a saint but since my life isn't on the line when i play BF2, i'm prepared to refrain from doing stuff that i know ****es ppl off, even if it results in me having a tad more deaths and a tad less points in the end of a round.

Well anyways.. i have learned the art of not spawning when the enemy is raping the last flag so i don't really care that much anymore.

                I agree with topi....
I've heard all the statements that folks make to say, or legitimize baseraping. However, iin the end, its not fun for either team. Think about it. The poster that started this thread said, that its not really fun to sit around 10 minutes and wait for the round to end, while half his team is spawn raping the enemies main. It also, obviously isnt fun for the other team.
Iin the end this is a game. Not war.
Besides, why not use some skill and beat them at the very flags, they are supposed be takiing?
(that would be too hard huh?)
