The reason people hate baserapin is it kills the game. I've been on servers where our team started rapin the other and they just didnt spawn, simple as that. Walked out of that game with a woppin 4 points. The highest scorer of the game had 16 points. Wow, what a fun and productive game. Happened again when it did the second round, but instead of the other team not spawning, they all quit. Now can we say "Yay for autobalance"? I got thrown on the other team and watched as 4 tanks rolled into our base and just camped all the spawn points.

Why would you limit what base people could attack? It's PART OF THE GAME. If people are there, they risk dying. There should not be a safe haven anywhere on the battlefield. To create one in your server is just lame. To me it sounds like you're saying "LET ME GET MY JET IN THE AIR SO I CAN GO 32-1 IN A GAME." I do more for my team nailing those jet's with AT rockets than the people attacking the front line spawns do. It's not cheap. I don't kill the people right as they spawn. I keep their aircraft down. Same goes for on their carrier. I'm no hypocrite either, if I'm getting basecamped I won't complain.. I'll find a way to get behind them and knife them. In my opinion, it is more of a measure of skill to fight behind enemy lines than it is to fight on the main front. Often, you're getting chased by tanks and APCs after you **** their entire team off.


EDIT - To the above post, how does it ruin the game? What says you have to spawn at that uncappable flag when you have 12 other freakin spawns? It's the people who want vehicles SO bad that they will spawn there and keep trying for that jet/tank/chopper 12 times in a row when they keep getting killed.

There should be no uncappable flags in the game period, once all flags capped the capped sides tickets count down to zero, end of game, after all that is the object of the game.

If people complain as there main base would be one of the first targets (if it could be capped) then make it so it can't until all the other flags are capped then it becomes open to being capped.

There would have to be some exceptions like on karkand, clean sweep ect where one team holds all bases apart from the oppos main base, but on most others it would work.

I think getting on the US carrier and shooting the jets before they can take off is one of the best things you can do for your team. Air superiority means a lot in this game, and if you can keep the enemy down you are being a team player. What IS lame, is spawn camping those alleyways in Karkand. People have that down to an art.

A team player in my opinnion, would be someone who can shoot down the jet fair and square after it has taken off. Someone who sucks so bad that he can only benefit his team by spawn killing, repairing a BH while BH-whoring or going jihaad, is not a team player in my opinnion.

In general, i think it sucks to kill the enemy in a way that doesn't make u test your skills against him man to man.

It would be nice to get 2 points for flag defence, coz that way i would be worth it to let the enemy come out from their uncappable base and not kill them before they're trying to cap a flag.

go for it. just dont be an ass while doing it. you cant get much lower than a guy w/ a tank pointed at a spawnpoint crapping on about how good he is. also avoid dying at all costs, as most of the opposition will have left as soon as they saw they had no chance. if you die you will be team swapped and learn of the joy first hand.

We have a rule on our server. No Camping/raping uncappable mains till last flag. If you don't adhere to that you get kicked because raping an uncappable base when you have flags to take is noob,weak,lame. More often than not we will hang back and let them atleast get out of their uncappable main, thats call good sportsmanship!

Yeah...war sure is good sportsmanship... :laugh:

It amazes me the amount of people that need a back base to feel "safe". Learn to fight in a 360 degree world instead of always having a base to fall back on.

I am. But this is not war, it's a computer game, so i'd rather have fun and let others have fun. At least i'm confident enough about my mediocre skills so that i don't have to look for the easiest/lamest ways to get kills.

In the original post as well as in the 'above post' you're referring to, we are talking about raping the uncappable base when it is the only base left - so there are no other spawnpoints to spawn to.

I didn't realize war was about being the bigger man. I thought it was about staying alive and helping your side win the battle.

Ill personnaly just rape any base when i'm in a plane i couldn't really care if it can be captured or not, its not like i am going to stop and get out and capture it anyway
I just bomb where there is most people, if that happens to be on the carrier then so be it.
