Ok, I am not a baseraper, I do not place arty on untakable points, ....

But when your team has taken all the flags on the map and the enemy has only there main base left , like on Gulf of oman or something, I do start to baserape because there is nothing else to do anymore in the game and half you team is also baseraping.

But the thing about it, it makes me laugh all the time, beeing an @sshole sometimes can be realy funny.


Now, for the other people here, if the enemy has only one point left in the game, there main base, what do you guys do, just sit somewhere and wait 10 min doing nothing till round is over or are you guys also going for a good old fasion baserape ?

Well...they actually got themselves in that position by sucking and not holding their spawn points, so they asked for it. I say spawn rape!...even it's not really cool, because it's easy and cheap.

Many of the players on the losing side often switch to the raping side. In that case it's not fair. If the teams are balanced.. hell, what else is there left to do than rape a little.

What's annoying is when your team's computers suck and by the time more than four of you have spawned, the enemy team has taken all the flags and are just baseraping your uncappable flag...it's just well annoying. All you can do is spawn, realise you've been spawncamped and are already dead, repeat.

At that point I hit esc -> disconnect...as does the rest of the team. Well done baserapers, you've killed off the server.

No such thing as basraping. Dropping Arty or even camping Uncappable spawns (usually the airfields) keeps the opposite team from mobilizing their air vehicles and armor. People of course complain about it because it sucks to be the victim. Often they could avoid it by spawning elsewhere, and could even come kill the base rapers from behind. But people continue to yearn to grab their bombers and keep spawning.

Ermm...if its the only base left you cant spawn anywhere else.

I dont really mind baseraping though, just makes me laugh when I sneak out with a couple of squadmates and start to take the furthest flag, then watch the other flags fall like dominos because everyone is still busy getting easy points at the main base.

Only fair thing to do is to let enemy at least go out of their base. That is fair play. Many seem to forgot basic things about decency and common sense.

Luckily there are servers that have rules against baseraping and admins always enforce them. Much more fun playing on these servers.

Next time you only have ONE base to spawn from, you invent a way to spawn at another place to avoid instantly dying from campers...

Excuse my mistake.. it is 5:30AM, after all. I should have said that there is nothing wrong with it. Uncappable bases aren't SAFE ZONES, and if you want to prevent people from camping it you should have fended them off to begin with. I think getting on the US carrier and shooting the jets before they can take off is one of the best things you can do for your team. Air superiority means a lot in this game, and if you can keep the enemy down you are being a team player. What IS lame, is spawn camping those alleyways in Karkand. People have that down to an art.

As a rule on public servers I never go into the enemy's uncappable if my team controls all the flags. I tend to wait outside the spawn for them, for instance on Dalian Plant at the entrance to the valley, by the cappable flag closest to the spawn (if I am America) or on the shore (if I am PLA). I know that my team will win anyway, so I limit myself to defending all the flags my team controls.

It is frustrating enough to be reduced to the only base, so driving into the last base and killing infantry as they spawn is no fun for me. Besides, if one team manages to capture all the flags quickly and reduce the opponents, then two things usually happen: players from the other side switch / leave the server and both teams end the round with fairly low scores.

OF course, avoiding baseraping is only valid for me on public servers: during clan wars, where both teams (in theory) communicate with each other & cooperate, baseraping is an award for dominating the other team.:evil:

while i hate to be camped. If I'm on the side with all the flags, hell yea i'm going to their main. Scew them.

But if i'm getting camped, i just won't spawn.

We have a rule on our server. No Camping/raping uncappable mains till last flag. If you don't adhere to that you get kicked because raping an uncappable base when you have flags to take is noob,weak,lame. More often than not we will hang back and let them atleast get out of their uncappable main, thats call good sportsmanship!
