How do people not get bored of Karkand?

I was looking at some of the top players' stats for BF2, and some guy has 470 hours played on Karkand ALONE.

I have less than 80 hours logged total, and I sometimes dont feel like playing karkand (flying is always fun).

How do people manage to have fun after playing the same map for an AVERAGE of 4.8 hours (using the example above) of Karkand per day, EVERY day, since the game came out. That sounds insane to me.

Well yeah, but that doesnt mean it wouldnt get a bit boring after so many hours on the same map.

Yeah I play it alot but not as much as some ppl. It does get old at times.

I can't get enough of the action. I don't always need a damn vehicle to get to the action. You don't have to worry about gettting bombed by near invincible planes. Yea, there's armor but it's easy to avoid. Teamwork is great on this map.

Because thats where bigbadordnance lives and a plane to other parts of BF2 is way to much money.

I don't see how people can have Marathon sessions of gaming period. After an hr or so I need a 6 hr brake :/

I dunno, two to three rounds at a time for that map is enough karkland forme for a couple of hours

I always wondered the same when it came to de_dust in Counter Strike. People have played Dust for YEARS and they still play it faithfully. I HATE dust now because of that. There are so many 24/7 Dust servers its not even funny. Will Karkand suffer the same fate?

When you play karkand, you get a bunch of points, flags are capped and uncapped non-stop, and the only vehicles to worry about are the whores that get blown up by the many AT guys anyway. And the action is always there. You walk for 1 minute and you get kills or get killed. Plus, I'm not really a vehicle guy so I don't need airplanes or helis. And most prevalent of all, no CHOPPER WHORES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
