Bashing companies is of no value. Not buying games might be if enough folks choose to do so. Being upset and expressing it to other gamers here is probably a waste of time. Maybe folks from DICE or even EA troll here, but writing directly to them would be a much better approach.

Here's my $0.02. Even with BF2 patched, and a series of expansions by the Developer eventually released, BF2 will suffer IF the community cannot enjoy ranked custom maps on a regular basis. The gameplay is addictive for sure, but the environment (i.e., maps) are way too limited.

Also, I really think some other modes of play are sorely missing. Deathmatches don't make since given the squad-based play, but some other modes such as found in CoD would be great, especially with maps developed for them. Just not sure what could be considered at the moment, but I'm sure other folks have lots of ideas. Love to see COOP mode come back too. :cry:

What rights? I don't know how things are in Belgium, but in here we don't HAVE to buy EA's, or any other companies games, if we don't want to. Your drooling sounds like the EA/DICE just raised the price of your oxygen that you MUST breathe in order to survive...

I like BF2, like i love some other EA games, but its obvious what their strategy is, and it could of been so much better, but they refuse to do it due to one thing, the money, they just make more money when they make 2 games, wich the second game brings the definite version and the first game is nothing more then a half version... of what its supposed to be (and mostly promised, but couldnt kept it)

That's why its called an expansion pack. It's not ment to be a completely new sequel. What promises(?) DICE didn't keep when they released BF2?

at the end of the day if you don't like BF2 nobodies forcing you too play it, you can go and download americasarmy for free and play that instead :)

This entire thread is gay. Only kids with no income could even be bothered to ever care. EA and Dice have done this with 1942, Vietnam, and BF2. When Road To Rome came out, BF1942 was still buggy as hell. Stopped nobody from playing it, and didnt stop any 14 year old's from complaining about it on forums like this, either. 50 bucks for the game and 30 for a expack is nothing to me. As for spending the money, I get a lot out of the game so I'll support it. All this crap will be gone when 1.1 comes out anyway. BF1942 was not "finished" until 1.61, for god sakes. Maybe it will take until 1.35 for BF2 to get "finished".

Just shut up and play the game. Or if you dont like the game, dont play the game.

The fact is the game wasn't finished when it was realesed
Half the features that were said to be in weren't
The expanision pack just looks **** with nothing much extra

Bugs? Maybe. Poor server search engine? Perhaps. More hours of hectic fun than any game within recent memory? Absolutely.

Believe me, I've hated EA for alot longer than most. I've beaten the proverbial dead horse about thier lack of invention and creativity. I'm certainly no fanboy.

But Battlefield 2 was worth every penny I paid for it. And I'll buy the expansion. Because it's brilliant fun.

What other reason do you need?

Once DICE patches BF2 to the point where I personally feel it's finished, I'll think about buying the expansion, but only once it's under $10.

You dont seem to realize that your money is not being put to into good use. The fact is your money is causing the destabilization of the world economy, exspecially in the poor state it is right now with Oil, and the fact that pretty soon the continent of North america is being faced with a crisis shown in the study of demographics.
I dont sit in my mothers basement complaining, I'm sitting in an office thats undermanned and making me do overtime because of the problems the game industry is causing. Its a well known fact that 50% of the problems in the game industry stem from EA, and from there 80% of the problems come from their practices. The fact is if Valve, EA, Dice, and Atari supported the same type of treatment EPIC gives, then you wouldn't see such a big inflation in the industry.

how bout you help the economy and pay 30 lousy buck for an expansion, or if you dont want the game, send it to the katrina relief fund, you miser. i honestly dont see all the "bugs" in the game some people biotch about, i still have a blast playing the game every time, and will continue to do so in the expansion
