looking more carefully the night vision looks like an unlock, i think they were think of incorporating night maps but we have no night vision till we unlock it and so on......

yeah it looks that way , bu for publicity the dumbasses had to release the game 1-2 months before it was scheduled. there were alot of things they said there would be and things that were shown but wernt included.(ie- BH w/ missiles,night vision, and a cool thing i saw in a demo that allowed ground units to show tanks or apc's for the jets and bombers, but it was much better than it is now, it was made so when it was ordered from the ground it would point the jet towards it) nice stuff but EA and DICE ****ed it all ip.

Jets don't need help from target painters. All enemy vehicles show up as a big square on the hud.

BIG shame, lets hope the patches add them in. BH w/missiles for the drive - great!!!!!

Fact is, stock BF2 sucks. They won't be adding Black Hawks with payloads, or night vision. If they do, it will be a very long time until they even consider doing it.

There is no reason to say EA/Dice broke promises and whatnot, because EVERYONE knows they did not deliver.

The only reason why the Battlefield franchise is still alive, is because of the mods. Mods are obviously our only hope.

I wanna play that game. Funny how DICE makes progresses making games the other way. MORE cool features to LESS.
