Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
OK, we've all seen the millions of "Catalyst 5.8 don't work properly on the 9800 series" threads that appeared after the last ATI driver release...
I'm just wondering if anyone has tried these on their 9800XT or 9800Pro yet. At the moment I'm running the 5.6's on my 9800XT - everything later has given me the same graphics corruption problems everyone else seems to report.
What I'm interested in is any smoothness or frame rate boosts - otherwise I'm happy sticking with my 5.6's!

I have the 9800XT that ran 5.8 drivers. It worked fine with no problems. I didn't test out 5.9 though.
I d/l'ed them. Everything seems to be fine. I haven't been in BF2 yet. Of course I haven't ever had problems with any vid driver updates. I had Nvidia till a month ago. I switched to ATI (X850XT), updated the 5.7, 5.8 & now the 5.9. No problems. I used the ATI uninstaller, then ran Driver Cleaner Pro, then installed the 5.9, cleaned out BF2 cache folder, ran MS adware cleaner, Disk Clean-up & then Disk Defragged.
I have a P4 2.6mhz (Gateway), 1 gig 3200 (400) RAM, ATI X850XT vid. That vid card sure does run things nicely. Gonna get another 2x512 of RAM.
And here I just double click the executable I dont bother with the driver cleaner stuff. The Drivers install just fine for me.

I actually never had a problem with the 5.8's. I run a 9800pro and it ran fine. The ones that I had troubles with were the 5.7's. Those things made the game unplayable. I'm going to wait for sopme unofficial 5.9's to come out before I switch to it. I like Omega myself, but then again I have never tried NGO, I'll look them up and see if I like them.

To get the BEST results, you should always unsintall the old drivers.
Before my reformat, I had the original drivers, 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8 installed with my x850pro. I got about 8000 points on 3dmark03. When I reformatted and installed JUST the 5.8's, I scored 10,700. It make a HUGE difference.
As for the 5.8's.. they work fine. I figure if its not broke, dont try to fix it. Plus last I checked, duct tape doesnt help fix anything to do with your graphicscard and that is as far as I go as a "handiman".
