Damn Gunners!

Why do people get into your attack helo or bomber and do nothing!!!?
i get them into position to cut down some troops and OMG there looking through the tv bomb, fire and miss. now i'm under too much fire and have to pull out. or you sneak over a mountain and youre behind a tank, i hover for a while so he gets an easy tv bomb kill, but then starts to shoot the cannon at them!!? WTF!!

This happens the other way round to, i go gunner sometimes, i think its genius! but you get a totally selfish pilot who doesn't get positioned, and just flys down the line for himself and i dont get many shots. There was a admin IDIOT yesterday who was hovering aimlessly in the middle of dragon valey, we had all the flags, but he hovered for no reason, No targets, no nothing!! he then tells me i'm useless LOL! there wasn't anything to shoot!
He crashes and i respawn and get in the chopper, and UH OH!! i get kicked by Admin! EA UK server too! i'm freakin sick of this crap.

It is very frustrating when I fly the chopper and the gunner has no idea what to do!! And its hard to get a squad member to join you in the chopper sometimes. I hate trying to get a decent line up for the TV guided missile and leaving the chopper exposed to fire only for the gunner to use cannons on Armour.

I think that if you are in a chopper/plane you should be able to talk to your co-pilot weather you are in a squad with them or not...would make the whole process a lot eaiser

i cant fly worth a damn so im very happy to be a gunner

i dont want to pat myself on the back but i do all right

for an attack chopper to work right you have to be able to read the pilots mind ]
some hints for gunners

if the pilot goes to hover use the tv missle if no armour is near look for anti air emplacements he could be wanting you to take it out even if no one is there dont leave it standing for some one to get a back door shot off at you

if he's strafing a target dont bother with the missle as it goes to quick to bring to target gun and sweep it to the sides of missle run as hapless tankers will be running for cover dont be afraid to pummle buildings although they never show damage you can hurt anyone coweing inside and maybe get them to run away in fear for an easier kill

if you here the warning switch to diff camera modes and tell pilot where bad guy is you wont hit anyhting anyway when pilot is flying to save ass works best in VOIP obviously

Hate it when they go prancing around waiting for the pilot to do all the work, its so hard to find good help these days. After intrusting so many people the past few months I tend to not hover around tanks, APCS, cars etc only amongst the weaker kits i.e. snipers, engineers, assault etc that way even if your gunner has gone all pancy on you, you have all day to run away.

Tip: Don't trust the pancies, they are useless you only get the occassional good gunner.

anyway its hard to find a decent PILOT. granted most gunners suck too.for many different reasons ,1 your gunner is from another countryt with a 200+ ping. 2 your gunner is a noob.


i was a gunner earlier and the pilot started hovering over the flag trying to take it, guys were all over us and i couldnt get a shot on any of them cause the pilot was not giving one., i was cussing and screaming.


please for love of God or Allah please if you dont know how to fly please DONT FLY. i dont fly causer i know i cant fly, i however can gun.

know whats worst guys? When you're Owning with a badass gunner and some douche bag jumps in before het can get in with you, happened last nite. Was kicking serious @$$, like 10-15 kills per death with the gunner I had, with the new guy I was doing the flying and the gunning I could with my rockets while this noob always had his guns overheated and didn't know what the TV missle was!

I've thought about this tactic, But damn , how the hell can you tell for sure if you have you're gunner out of bounds and you're not? Sounds kinda Iffy

You fly in on the mini map until you are being punished and then you back out till the punish timer stops

Haha that is the most evil thing I have heard of. But obviously you have to take extreme measures to teach them, seriously some gunners are idiots. It all comes down to if the gunner is good at spotting out enemy on radar so the pilot can see and turn the heli towards that area. The radar will let you dominate the game and as long as you have an alert chopper pilot who knows what is going on around him and knows how to constanty every 3-5 seconds looking at his radar.

WOW!!!! A heli pilot who actualy thinks about his gunner!!!! Now there's a rare sight!!!!!

This is why i have my buddy to fly and we talk over Teamspeak.. it works great u should just find someone u like playing with and ask them for their email, so you will have a buddy to fly with.
