The PKM is actually not as good as the SAW; SAW does more damage/second because of its higher rate of fire.

The helicopters in the game are very agile, and with a good pilot at the helm, very dangerous (especially the cobra), also AA weapons are stationary, making you very vunerable to helicopters, aircraft and infantry on the ground. Lately i have discovered the lighter vehicles in the game (FAV, Nanjing, Vodnik, Humvee, excluding the USMC buggy, becuase the machine gun cannot rotate 360) are far more better at AA role than the stationary weapons themselves, it takes a whole load of bullets to down the damn buggers but i find it very easy to outmanuever the helis with them, and survived a whole load longer.

Anyone else agrees jeeps/buggies are better than the stationary AA?

I agree. I used to like to race around in the buggies grabbing flags. Now its fun to sit in a remote location behind a tree and blast the helos out of the sky. Its especially useful on Clean Sweep provided you don't get bombed by the jets.

What am I overlooking?
SAW has double the RoF and just over half the damage per shot. You will probably get a higher hit percentage with the PKM because of the lower number of shots -> less recoil but a helo is a much larger target than a human so it probably won't be a massive difference. Even the overheat seems to work out the same (PKM fires half the shots but suffers about twice the overheat per shot). Sounds like the two weapons are either equivalent or SAW is slightly better.
