Jets - The Secret...?

So what is it? And don't say practise, there's got to be more to it.

How is it a small select few are able to keep you in their sights no matter what evasive maneuvers I try.

I was just on one of the EA UK server, and this guy makd69 (who according to his stats is a private - perhaps it's a secondary account, or perhaps it's for something else...) was owning myself and this other pilot. OK I admit I was in the bomber, but the other pilot in the fighter was still having the same problem.

Tweaks?
A hack?
Special fuel hidden on each map?
A special key to select alternate missiles?

In Air to Air combat the secret is to fly not too fast but not too slow. Also flying at a distance behind them lets you follow their jet-stream making it easy to stay on someones tail.

There is no extra fuel, or hacks when flying. Do you fly with Mouse & KB? Or Joystick? And yes.. I will say it.. It does have alot to do with practice. You have to know how to cut, when to put on your afterburners and when to let off the throttle. I know a trick on the offensive end, but I don't care to post it here as it will help my enemy .. Muhahhhaaa

What he said. You shouldn't fly too fast, or be above them or below them, or too far from them or near to them.

Try not to follow stupid manuevers,like when someone starts an obvious loops i just slow down and catch him on the way down.

good way to get ppl off your tail is to fly straight into the ground. works 100% of the time.

What I've always wondered is how the hell do these guys slow down to almost nothing, gun you and then speed away like they never slowed down in the first place?

Pressing S doesn't slow me down anywhere near that fast and neither does throwing the throttle on my joystick all the way back.

Hell I guess I will help some of yall out here. The trick is leave it on bombs til you get a better shot (usually on a good straight angle) then flip on the heat seekers, wait wait wait.... flares will go then wait til you got tone.. then fire 4 rockets up his a$$. Works about 90% of the time. Only way for the enemy to get out of this is to either 1. wait a few seconds to drop flares....but who would do that..lol or 2. Turn left or right as hard as you can right after you drop flares....

Are you talking about killing helicopters?

Planes can glide down to like 200 speed.
You just hold S and then point the nose up just a bit, is what I do, when in sight of the chopper/apc I just gun them to death and then turn on afterburners and speed up.

if your using keyboard and mouse, i advise u to when trying to dodge, to just use the arrow keys, the give u the sharpest turn i can think of and just do simple loops, barrel rolls etc.........if u use a joystick then.....i hate you with all my gut............

If ypur in the US jum jet, eremember you can hover, i often use this to take out heli's then take off to re-arm. This does take a bit of practice but it is very effective when taking out objects on the ground as u can sit over your target, let your bombs loose and speed off again.

You have to practice.

I was pretty crap flyer, but after a few rounds of praccing fighter, I got better, and a few more I was able to do good and shoot people down (or get hits with the missiles), and a few more and I got my first guns kill.

My best suggestion is defensive, but if you get locked onto, go right into a steep turn. And stay in it. Until they de-lock, then fly back towards your base, and if you get locked, turn again. It's hard to shoot down a turning plane.
