There might be, in a mod but not in BF2. They also don't have the F-4 Phantom from Viet Nam, The P-51 Mustang from WWII or the Stopwith Camel from WWI!!

I'm not sure what you attachment is to this plane. They had one in the Desert Mod for BF1942 El Alemein map and all it did was act like a fighter-bomber. There isn't much reality there... so they now have offered the F-15E, a true 2-seater fighter/bomber

Although it was designed to be an air superiority fighter, as times and demands changed, the F-14 could be converted to a fighter bomber capable of being fitted with Air-to-Ground weapons and bombing hardware and technology.

Honestly, does the U.S. Navy actually need a fighter that can destroy aircrafts 100 miles away? Has the F-14 ever fired off its Pheonix missle in actual combat?

My reasearch says no! No AIM-54 Phoenix missles were ever used in air-to-air combat. And that's good since they are $750,000 each!

Ok, the F14 is a two seater, thats one, and it's pretty heavy. I know, it's to be phased out soon, just like the F-15. I'm just saying, for logical reasons, because the F-14 is a two seater, and since when did Marines have mini aircraft carriers. Anyways, i doubt there will be any 2 seaters in around 2010, because the F-22 will replace the F15, but i dunno about the F15E, unless they're going to make a stealth strike fighters as well, because they EA obviously wanted to use two seaters in the game. That's why they have bombers, if it were real, if it were real, it would be basicaly F-22 ownage, unless the MEC and China get some super stealth fighter as well. And BTW, now it's 2005, the JSF IS NOT coming in 2007, their best hopes are about 2010, they couldn't get JSFs out in 2007 by a longshot. THe optomists are saying 2010, the rest of the people say about 2010-2015.

People continue to mistake the Wasp class Amphibious Warfare Ship for a full blown Nimitz class carrier. Sorry people, only VTOL aircraft and Helios can take off from a Wasp class.

750000$ to shoot at a plane made out of scrap metal from discovery's Scrapyard battle. the only thing im waiting for is the aurora bomber (name for now) its an nucleair powered bomber capable of flying just under the atmopheer (SP) but yeah thats gonna hit the scene in like the year 2100:hmm:

The F-14 Tomcat replaced the F-4 Phantom in combat situations in 1973, saw that last night on dogfights on the history channel. Seems like a pretty good show. The tomcat is one of my favorite planes just on its look and design, so unique.

I know, they shoulda just put in a full nimitz class carrier, at least they coulda made the F18 not on the ground. Because all F18s in service that i know of, are on carriers.
