Let me put it this way:

BF2/ DC/ BFV is for boys

BF1942 is for men

I would still play 42 but virtually all the good players have left for this game.

I believe there is potential for BF2 to be much better but its up to the patches to put that magic balance in the game.....

Decrease Air power (no helipads for helos)
Take out Artillery (just disrupts flow)
Take out Noobtube
Take out instant prone
Limit bunnyhopping/jump+prones (and all gay combos)
Reduce points for heals/revives/support
Anti Tank shooting is too easy it needs to be harder

Tank battles aren't as skillfull as 42 but I'm not sure how to make em better.

Things just seem to be gayer in BF2, it seems that theres less skill in this game atm and quite a bit of "random element" and too much "oohh aren't the graphics nice lets play it at 1920 x1400." Meaning EA lets work on making skill more important in this game and less concentration on the graphics.

People in this thread voting for BF2 when they haven't even play BF42 is kinda dumb don't you think? You really can't vote that you like something better between two things when you have never tried one of them.

i miss garden market and the spitfire but to say BF42 was better hmm ... nah. maybe you guys should try joining a tournament like 21CW or Total War, betcha if you come back defending flags and working as a team is the only thing you can think or dream about, THAT MAYBE YOUR WAY BUT THATS NOT OUR WAY

i think the big thing here, with some liking bf42, dc, better then bf2, is not really, the weapons, or the eye candy.....i think the big difference is, or was, Maps.

The maps in DC and 1942, pure and simple, were much more fun. And i believe whole heartedly it was the flag selection. In DC and 42, you had 3 or 4 flags typically. This kept the action together. IN DC and 42, you could be infantry, a pilot in jet or copter, a plane, tank, humvee whatever, and be gaurenteed a good time. In BF2, you almost get one, or the other type maps, and way, way too many flags, spreading the action out to thin.
Least thats my thought on it.
