I played regular Bf1942 and i thought that it was soooo much better than bf2. I dont know why I just loved it, and same with Desert Combat. I played bf42 soo much, since the day it came out, and allready I havent played BF2 for like 3 weeks now. I think its boring.. Does anyone else agree or is it just me?

I have to kinda agree with you but with some qualifications. Firstly, I think the comparison is a little unfair as BF was a revolution in MP gaming. From the intuitive objective gamestyle to the drivable vehicles, it was the first game to elegantly implement these features. BF2 is simply the evolution of that BF genius.
Having said that, I believe BF2 may be most remembered for demonstrating how far you can take strategic/cooperative play. The innovation of sqauds and commanders with Voip is something many have been dreaming of for a long time but I think BF2 shows that its fun factor is still dependant on player's willingness to play in that mode. IMHO, BF2 demonstrates that most casual players will simply ignore the benefits of these features and play as they always have. The resulting unrealized gameplay experience leaves many feeling let down, not so much by the game but the unwillingness of players to play the game to its potential.
I kind of miss the free and loose gameplay that was the hallmark of BF. You didn't need a good team to have a great time. With BF2, you need great team to have a great time.Comment

One thing I miss in BF2 are the realistic settings. I'd like BF2 maps and armies based on modern wars the same way 1942 was based on WW2.Comment

BF2 is great but for me it will never be as fun as bf1942, this can change if they stop focusing on infantery gameplay and go back to doing maps where its actually fun playing with vehicles like in bf1942, oh well that doesnt mean i dont like bf2 but i would like more maps for vehicles, i cant wait for the ww2 mods anyway :pComment

I actually never played any other BF games :p
But BF2 is awesome and I am still addicted to it even with its stat padders, cheaters, lag, and TK system.
BTW: God, what is taking them so long for 1.1? (its not 1.03 anymore) They better have a good reason for it.Comment

I loved BF42, then I loved DC, then I loved BFV, then I loved PoE. I'm now in love with BF2 and to me it's the best multiplayer game ever made.
You complain about people not playing as a team. Join a clan. I played for years in the BF series as a loner and it was fun. But since playing as part of clan, I'll never go back. Playing competitive is even better. The most important stat for me is our win/loss record. Screw ribbons.
