BF42 was boring but DC was great. Its a hard call between DC and BF2. BF2 has nicer graphics/physics/inovations, but has an endless tide of bugs and gets boring fast. DC didnt have all the inovations and eye candt of BF2 but it has far far.....far less bugs and stuff like helicopters and planes were much better, and DC was actually balanced. Actually I think I had more fun playing DC.

I loaded DC last week for a couple of rounds with some of my clan mates. I realize now that DC, when compared to BF2, is more arcade like. The game is tons of fun and I have been playing it since .35 or .33- whatever---- point is, BF2 is better.

I enjoy both of them, but BF2 has alot more for you to do. The medics being able to revive, the many medals and awards you can get, and the squads, are just a few things that make BF2 just a bit better than BF42

For those who had BF42, wasn't it amazing. My first 'WOAH!!' moment was when a plane flew right over my head bombing a nearby enemy tank. Man, that is a fun game.

I can sum up my love for BF42 and BF2 in a mathmatical calculation:

            BF42 >>> BF2

BF1942 bores me in like 20 minutes right after I install it and so is DC. Sure it was really fun when it first came out and I played it like mad for a pretty long time, but now BF2 ownz it. BF2 is addicting to me right now as BF1942 was when it first came out.

                BF2 is better...

...I first bought Battlefield:Vietnam and enjoyed it a lot, then heard that BF:1942 was supposed to be better, so bought it and thought it was a bit crap to be honest.

BF2 since it is the only BF game I played.

Hmm, well I never really played alot of BF1942, more the mods that were available for it. Now they were fantastic and I thoroughly miss them (DC, FH I'm looking at you). However I still feel BF1942 does have the edge in gameplay over BF2.

We'll have to see if the mods improve BF2, I expect they will.

I still want real wars in BF2. Gimmee Granada, the Persian Gulf War, Special Operations in South America, Afghanistan and the Soviet Invasion, Yugoslavia and Slobadan Milisovic. Heck, lets throw in Waco and Ruby Ridge

From the intuitive objective gamestyle to the drivable vehicles, it was the first game to elegantly implement these features. BF2 is simply the evolution of that BF genius.

Having said that, I believe BF2 may be most remembered for demonstrating how far you can take strategic/cooperative play. The innovation of sqauds and commanders with Voip is something many have been dreaming of for a long time but I think BF2 shows that its fun factor is still dependant on player's willingness to play in that mode. IMHO, BF2 demonstrates that most casual players will simply ignore the benefits of these features and play as they always have. The resulting unrealized gameplay experience leaves many feeling let down, not so much by the game but the unwillingness of players to play the game to its potential.

I kind of miss the free and loose gameplay that was the hallmark of BF. You didn't need a good team to have a great time. With BF2, you need great team to have a great time.
Again I agree , but going lone wolf is fun at times especialy when a server is full of 10yr olds
