bah...I went and got Guild Wars a few weeks ago. Havnt played BF2 since. I cant wait for UT2007...then ill probably never play BF2 again. Unfortunately this game is turning out like the last 2 EA games I got. BFV and MoHPA. Play it for a few weeks or months then never again, although MoHPA was good but just had some big bugs, no patch in sight (it got delayed :laugh: ) and there was only like 100 people on at any given time. Ah well....life goes on. I want UT2007 :cry:

I would like for someone to give me the name of pc game that didn't have bugs. The simple fact is, every piece of software gets patches. When working with new things like the physics engine, there are going to be glitches. I seem to remember hacks in BF1942, but that didn't stop people from playing. Over-all, BF2 is graphically amazing game, with cool explosions, fun squad play, and intense fire-fights. Stop your b!tching and wait for the damn patch. If you hate the game that much, play something else!!!

- People say dont buy anything from EA: Euh EA buys anything related to games on the damn planet, so if you think to buy a game most likely you will find a EA logo on the damn box
- People say if you dont like it dont play it: Ea hyped the damn game from day one it was developed with great features and so on. (but they didnt tell the consumers they dont own the game when it will be released cause the great features they anounced are behind a ridicilous point system)
- People say why do we complain cause no weird bugs in BF2 at all: Euh Ea admit a few weeks back they made some mistakes with this game that can be seen in some weird bugs ingame!
- People say dont complain about getting a so needed patch, cause you payed for the game and not for upcomming patches so we should be thankfull if they build patches ever: People that say that must be insane!!
- People say if you dont like BF2 with the so called bugs dont play it: yeah when you have something that has been payed with your earned money its to easy to say well dont play it when you thought you had some decent game inhands in the first place.

Im totaly behind the person that said were still waiting now for 3 months on the first real patch.
If your happy with the game now thats fine but dont insult or flame the ones that doesnt cause they payed their well earned money to have a good game.

And whats with the upcomming map "Wake Island" thats a old map from an old game, develop something new lazy b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s.

I agree totally.. The last 2 Battlefield games got old VERY quickly..
Same ole maps over and over... people exploiting the games flaws,
i.e. chopper capping, which becomes the 'norm'.. silly..

Unreal Tournament games are far superior when it comes to one
MAJOR category..

A publisher who wants the game to last..

EA is so controlling with their games its almost pathetic.. they kill
themselves.. What..10 maps ? How long will that stay fun ? Not
long for me..

In the time it has taken EA/DICE to figure out how to fix all their bugs,
200 Unreal Tournament 2004 maps have came out.. ALL FREE.

I was hoping for much more with this game.. HUGELY disappointed..
but then again, we're dealing with EA.. no surprise.

If you find EA products so intolerable, uninstall them, get a big piece of cardboard, and take a big black crayon and write on it: "I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE EA GAMES" and hang it on your wall or stuff it in your wallet to remind you. Consider the money spent as the cost of gaining wisdom.Just don't simultaneously play the game and then moan about how awful it is, because otherwise I'm going to start doubting your sincerity.-

OMG you're right!!!! In order to unlock a weapon you have to have (gasp!) 1000 points. Oh, the villains! It will take me, what . . . about 2 days to get a thousand points? And if I want another unlock, then I can start a new character or keep my current one, and earn 9000 more points? Oh, how terribly unfair that system is. The b*tches!

No, people who say that are correct. Funny how all the people who claim EA "owes" them, or has done something "illegal" with this game, eg all the forum lawyers, suddenly forgot to read the EULA. Open your manual to p. 22 and read it. See where it says ONLY the recording medium and the documentation with the game are warranted free from defects. No other warranties apply.

The primary reason to put stock in news from an official source is that you can be almost 100% certain it is totally accurate. Information given out during early to mid stages of development of a patch, game, demo or whatever tend to be inaccurate when compared with the final release, so we always wait to give you information until we're as certain as possible it is accurate.

Release dates are exactly the same in this respect. Any date we gave you now would undoubtedly be wrong, and while the wait is frustrating it is better not to be given incorrect information. We will however confirm the stage the patch is at, and at present it's in the mid stages of development.

This means that they've identified the majority of the issues which will be fixed and have got a decent way through the final patch list. There is refinement and improvement to go yet, before it is finalised and tested. Once it's through all of that it'll be released.

I for one would very much like to give you a 100% accurate list of fixes with a 100% accurate release date, but that's not information we have. We've seen proposed fix lists and potential changes but to release those in any official capacity would be misleading, so for the time being we cannot confirm any of the changes you may have seen on unofficial sites.

Again, apologies for the delay and I understand the frustration at a lack of concrete information.

I totally understand the frustration when it comes to the patch. I have tried to help several people on this very forum who can't even get the game to run. These guys can run other games like HL2 just fine. When you release a game to the public there are bound to be a few issues. But the last time I checked the patch will include some 150!! fixes! In fact this must be the first time in my 10 years of online play that I have to restart the game to refresh the server list. In-game server browsers have never been very good but when BF2 was released I had to use the damn thing. I could no longer use ASE which I paid for.

And for those who keep compairing BF2 to BF1942 and talk about how many bugs there where in that game when it came out. I played that demo for 2 months before I finally bought the full game. It was a total blast and I can't remember having a single serious issue with it. My experience with BF1942 is basically why I bought BF2. EA Games and DICE have an interest in keeping the popularity up for this game. They don't just release patches to be nice. I'm shure they are hoping to sell many more copies of BF2 and when the expansion comes there will probably be bundles with the full game + expansion. If BF1942 is anything to go by there will be another expansion after Special Forces too.

I will not by a single expansion from them though. I used to dig the Secret Weapons expansion for BF1942 but in the end I couldn't find a single server to play on.
