No, people who say that are correct. Funny how all the people who claim EA "owes" them, or has done something "illegal" with this game, eg all the forum lawyers, suddenly forgot to read the EULA. Open your manual to p. 22 and read it. See where it says ONLY the recording medium and the documentation with the game are warranted free from defects. No other warranties apply. So the alternative is to play the game while b*tching and moaning about it? Please, grow up. You spent a few bucks, you don't like the game, it didn't live up the hype. Fine. Get over it.
Two things, fella. First, 3 months isn't an unreasonable time to wait for a patch, especially as the tens of thousands of people playing the game in servers all over the world are evidence that it is a "good" game; at least good enough for people to enjoy and keep playing.
Second, get out of your glass house before you toss another stone. You talk about not insulting or flaming, but in your very next sentence you call EA "lazy b*astards."

I don't think he's a fanboy. I just think that he (like me and thousands of other people) don't have problems with the game. Hostiles have never appeared as friendly or visa versa. I've never tried jumping when prone (why would I?) although I seem to remember a lot of breakdancers doing that in the early 1980's (Heh, maybe the army is full of breakdancers )
OMG, we have to work to win medals, awards, and weapon unlocks. Jesus H Christ. We actually have to play the game to get the better weapons? Damnit. In every other FPS you get every weapon when you start. I remember the original Doom, you started out with the BFG and Chainsaw.
I'm not an EA fanboy (I have unfortunetly played Pacific Assualt, now that is a funless game), I just don't have problems with the whole Battlefield series. No problems. Nada. Zip. Just like thousands of others.
Now Morrowind, with an ATI graphics card. That was appauling. Resets and CTDs. Graphical glitches everywhere. But you know what? Lots of other people had no problems at all. When I switched to nVidia, the problems went away.
If you want problem-free gaming, but a console. Every PC in the world is different. If you buy 2 identical PCs, take them both home, and install the same software on both, they are both different instantly. The software will be installed on different places on the hard drives, their IP address will be different, their clocks will be slightly different. One may make games crash, the other may be fine. This may be due to a bad bit of soldering on the mobo, or a piece of dust on your GPU.
And Stupid Dice for making a game that will only run on high-spec machines. They should ensure that it only runs on yesterday's technology shouldn't they?
Depends on what they define as "Fix". Adding better support for Joe Bloggs Graphics Card 6800 is a 'fix', but they can't be expected to support every piece of hardware under the sun.
Man A might have problems that Man B doesn't thanks to his hardware or setup. EA/Dice have to keep both parties happy.
Everytime I load up Steam I have to download a few megs of updates for CS:S or HL2. None of them seem to make a blind bit of difference to me, they both run just fine.

I swear you people just look for things to complain about. I've got 300 playing hours and not one complaint about this game. It's OBVIOUS you people don't hate it that much, or you'd be playing something else. Why would you ask this, I know the only stupid question is the one not asked, but this might be really close. Of course this won't be the lat patch, the game has been out for less than 90 days. BF2 must be like a bug zapper. It attracts alot of really stupid people.
well whatever, I'm almost Sergeant and I'm gonna quit as Call of Duty 2 comes out.
CoD was and is the best FPS imo. As a matter of fact, I left CoD when BF2 Demo came out because I wanted to fly. But have you guys seen info and screens for CoD2?!?
It's gonna be sweet, and sure, they'll probably need a patch, but you can bet your ass it won't take 3 months and a hotfix to get it released.
CoD Had like 7 patchs in a year, or less, and a kick ass expansion pack.
Bunny hopping was non-existant in like 1.01 methinks...
EA needs to learn how to better please the consumer.

Battlefield2 was an unfinished game.
Every game you play has to be patched but to be honest EA were abit sloppy overall.
Start work on an expansion pack a few month after the release of BF2 they're just after the money they're not bothered about the people playing their game.
I've stopped playing the game now it just has got real f*cking boring and to all the fanboys out there stop licking arse your not going to get a medal by claiming the game hasn't a single fault.
