Correct me if I am wrong, but the ban is from Punksbusted...not Punkbuster (evenbalance)...so he will be banned from servers that run their MBL but not from any other servers (like the Official EA servers). Also the ban was an MD5 ban, but it doesn't say exactly what was found (could be something like a known hack file was found, an altered game file (it doesn't say which), a corrupted game file (which wouldn't necessarily be a cheat), or even PB getting out of synch on its MD5 checks...

Anyway, just trying to point out, at least from my experience as an America's Army server admin, that you have to be a little careful with using the MD5 kicks to add to MBL's b/c there can be MD5 kicks on a server even though the player is totally legit and without the full info from the server logs, it would be hard to draw a definitive conclusion...

elektrik's lack of caring just proves to me that he knows what he was doing was wrong. If my measely ~25,000 got wiped, I'd be a tad upset seeing as how I actually worked for them and didn't stat whore/behave in any other cheap form of getting points. Why people think he is "cool" for not caring is beyond me. He's just an idiot that got caught so he doesn't really care since, hey, he didn't work for them or put effort into them.

msxsecuritys hack makes it impossible to get banned by a md5 calculation, so I doubt it was there hack

The guy was a cry baby, he got what he deserved. The knife/pistol server is a good example. He'd been on their several times, contrarary to what his post in the EA forums says.

Hell, I don't see what the big deal is... I cheat, everyone cheats. I use this hack that I developed called, " I'm simple better than you"v.01 and I use it constantly.

More power to the hackers I say... just don't come to my server. Only I'm allowed to hack there. :P

Alright, how about we lay down some facts here?

This guy has only spent a small fraction of his total play time on the global knife/pistol server, not enough to justify his high global scores and stats. Also, you seem to believe that people play for stats and care about stats if its high and prestigious.

You are wrong. There are huge number of players that play this game regardless of stats, they just play for fun and entertainment. Some of these people do earn respectable stats as those that are currently at the top.

When BF1942 was my game of choice and during the time when BFstats was up, I was at the top 200. I did care about my stats for a week or so, but after that, I didn't give a damn about it. Despite not caring about it anymore, I was still able to maintain this status which has proven to me that people who play for fun can be those at the top.

Now, Electric might feel hurt deep inside him/herself and tries to hide it from the community, but I would not be surprised if some of the top players like him plays BF2 just for fun, not stats.
