Well that kind of stuff is good to hear. How many of the ranked servers use AMBL? Is it required by EA that any ranked server use it? If so, that would keep the cheaters out of the ranked servers for good.

you guys know what so funny about him?? he made a topic on EA forum of me because i was on that knife/server :P telling me i was cheating and stuff and now hes the one on the MBL!! whos cheating now??

One guy down - what about all those people out there using the hacks that are not picked up by PB? I don't know where the post is that talked about that - but there are hacks out there that cannot be picked up by PB at all.

For this reason I think it is pointless to join a clan, or enter a tournament with cheating being an option.

those guys will be tough to crack down (like the M** S*****ty guys). the guy who codes these hacks, he makes a "custom" hack for each "VIP" member and that's what's making it undetectable. if one gets detected for whatever reason, the most that person will get is a kick or ban from that server but not a TOTAL ban from PB. then all he has to do is request a "custom" hack for him again and he's back where he left off.

ahhhhh i bet it suck to be him,i wouldnt want to be in his shoes.I wonder what kind of cheat he was using or was he stat padding to much and got caught?

Stat padding wouldn't be detected by PB because it's not a third-party type hack. It's a game exploit, but as anyone can do it without using any other sort of coding or program, PB won't pick it up. That's why stat padders get their stats wiped, but not PB banned.

Dont you have to get new computer hardware to be able to play again? Why is this different from a PB ban if thats where they get the list of hack users from?

Not 100% sure. However, I do know that PB will only hardware ban if its a certain type of hack. Most of the hacks are radar hacks and crap like that, so PB will usually not hardware ban those fools. More than likely this will just IP ban him from playing on that particular server that caught him. I may be wrong...but not sure.

just a new HD, NIC, and new CD-key (HD, buy a cheap 10GB for, like, 15 bucks. NIC for $5. cd-key on eBay for 20 bucks. total to be able to play BF2 again = about $40). but that's the last resort. you could try "spoofing" your MAC address and/or swapping HDs/1394 adaptors, etc. first.

that's why a GUID/HW ban isn't really such a bad thing once you get caught by PB. sure, you're more careful now but at least you can still play the game (normally)!
