I like squadplay, but I will say this about going solo.

      While playing alone, I:

      - Get teamkilled less: No one shooting me in the back.
      - Get killed by artillery less: One dot is far less tempting than six dots.
      - Get killed by tanks less: I get hit by the tank shell radius when it's shooting at my squadmates nearby, even if I'm well hidden.
      - Get spotted by the enemy less: A lot harder to sneak around with 4-5 other people running around you.
      - Get fewer kills: Kills "stolen" often.
      - Get fewer flag captures: I tend to let others capture the flag while I hang back and cover them, spot incoming vehicles, etc. If no one does it then it's easy for an enemy to run up and grenade the flag area and kill everyone.

I always try to "Q" enemy spotted, it helps out everyone on the team. I'll do a "lets go" or "back up needed" and just no one cares. I need to find a good group that plays together and appreciates teamwork.

SO....anyone know of a good way to find a clan or group that plays together all the time that I could join?

So many people tend to think I want to discourage lonewolfing: I dont.
Just hoping for more communication, that way, teamwork can still occur when the opportunity arives.

Saving someotherguy's but because he knows a tank is comming has nothing to do with being in a squad or being dependant on other players.

I played as a squad member for the first time today, still as my usual Spec Ops and it was great fun! I dides less and got my one of my biggest scores despite the game crashing my PC halfway through the round!

Now I play Lonewolf sniper and I am usually on comms with the close friends I play with but also try to use the Q Rose since they have a 24/7 karkand map ranked I am off somewhere playing spotter for the bases. Snipers can play as lonewolves but still be a teamplayer as the post said it takes communication.

Re: Newb's and lone wolfs, pls read.

why the **** would i want to be in a squad when i am flying a fighter jet? sooner or later people will leave the squad and i will not realize that i am the squad leader, then someone will join my squad and realize i am flying and he can't spawn off of me. what on earth would be the point in that

about 75% of my game time is in a fighter jet. wouldn't be sensible to be in a squad for that, especially in a 64 man server when you can only make so many squads per team and you would be hogging one of those mobile spawn resources up just to be in a squad.

maybe you should add an exception to your tutorial about that

Even though I see many "ENEMY BOAT SPOTTED" on Karkand...
I know what you mean, just like in bf 1942, you;d have someone spotting a submarine in Berlin.
I'm sure many people already know this, but just as a friendly reminder, when you spot something it will automatically identify the enemy object/whatever if your crosshair is on top of said object.

Even when i'm not in a squad (which is most of the time) I still spot for my team, call for back up, give back up, heal ...etc same as many other people.

Seems if you right click and aim at the enemy and have a clear view it will spot the correct type of enemy better. even follows them around the map for a short period of time.
