I'd like to see some real teamwork with the blackhawk. NOT just teamwork WITHIN the blackhawk. As it is now, the blackhawk team, typically goes on about its own bizniz of getting mucho points. Forgetting that they actually have more "team" members out there.

In a perfect world, it would be great, if you were cornered down at a flag. Out numbered, and outgunned. And you call in for blackhawk support. You spot out some enemies...and the blackhawk, swoops down, and takes em out. Or eliminates the majority of that attackers. Now that would be teamwork. Or this same scenerio only reverse.

        Re: blackhawk whoring question....

people all make a big deal out of the BH take a tank fire 2 shells into it and boom no more BH. If the pilot is smart after the first one he will take off and if you a good tanker you will make sure you hit him befor he gets to your flag and if your even better you will hit him as he tries to fly away just keep you machine gun going most of the time i just got out of a game where i had 38 kills and 4 deaths and a total of 83 points most of my kills came from the BH crew no one on the USMC side had more points then me why cause i was able to defend several flags with the help of my team spotting the BH when ever they saw it so i could get in position to take it down.

Now i have also been in the BH alot too and let me tell you Its very challenging to keep the BH up and running even with a crew that knows what it is doing when the other team is actually working togather and not complaneing "BH whores" "STAT PADDERS" (which it is NOT, the only guys who stat pad in the BH are the ones who are not helping they are the snipers, anit armor, spec op or assault guys who sit in the F4 to F6 seats) or anyother complaining.

You know what i have even got in the other transport choppers of the MEC and PLA and if you have a crew that semi knows what to do then you can be almost as effective as the BH. Sure your gunners cant kill things anywhere even close to as fast as the BH can but hey thats life dont complane about it just figure out a way to help you defeat it better

I've been on 2 flights so far and still the score was under my best round ever, which I earned as commander on Kubra Dam, not doing any fishy stuff like resigning to get kills.

I was full time commander that time, I got a gold medal for it too. the pilots and me had the best scores which where over double the score of the ground crew.

When somebody would've seen the naked stats without seeing the game he'd have figured I must be whoring it up.. thruth was it was a very fierce battle, with the troopers being excellent at their job and everybody doing something usefull.

are CO's statpadders too, I wonder

What did our blackhawk friends accomplish? Absolutely jack sh*t. They got a bunch of points but did nothing to help our team to win. They were warm bodies taking up space that could have been used by a fighting squad to take and hold flags. It sucks. I hate being beat that badly when I know four of our guys are zooming around in a BH, not caring whether or not the flag they just capped gets taken 15 seconds later. It's BS.
They are free to play the game that way, but it's not teamwork, it's getting as many points for their stats as they can. Period.

The things concerning the BH needs to be fixed in a patch. NO DOUBT about it. I mean come on! You shoot engineers or others out of the BH & then they just respawn back on the SL if he is in the Heli. Most likely he is. CRAP! You say shoot the BH with a tank. Well, if you don't spot them when they are far away.... yoou can't. The Turrets of the APC's & tanks don't raise very high up. Last time I checked .... It is quite impossible to raise or lower a Flag from the air! Who thought up this Brainstorm to be able to? I personally think that flag capping should only be done by ground troops on foot. No vehicles or planes PERIOD! I bet you would see alot more BH's filled with Assault & support troops, that way they would be used for transport to drop troops at flags. When the base is secure, then pick them up & move on. APC's, Hummers & jeeps would also be more effective for this purpose. Maybe then people might actually wait & pick others up to man the weapons (hummers. tanks, jeeps) instead of jumping in them & hauling butt across the map while people are saying "I NEED A RIDE >>> REQUESTING PICKUP" Nothing p***es me off more then to see people taking off in vehicles when being asked for a pickup. When you get to the flags, the drivers could get out & cap flags while the vehicle gunners cover. Just my opinion! Rock On!

Absolutely. I think in the long run it would be more effective as a transport today, even without the patch. So often when I'm a commander I see both teams scattered all over the map, with completely neglected flags just a jaunt away. I crave a sheepdog to gather up all my little sheep so they can accomplish something. Also, how kewl would an actual airborn assault be? Can EA make that make tactical sense?

Well I've been in three "BH Whore" situations since starting to play this game in June -- it really isn't as easy as people think it is -- and I still contend that it does, in fact, represent how actual Air Assault works. Sure, it's not like it is in real life where you'd have gunships providing CAS and dozens of choppers landing troops, but it's a fairly accurate representation.

I too look forward to having guys have to land to take a flag -- which make it even more accurate. I'm also predicting that good teams will wrack up as many points doing it this way as before and the whiners will be complaining about them as well.

right here is a stat padder. lol, he can't see any reason to use the BH if he can't go from flag to flag capping and killing everything in sight. YOUR type is the problem with this game.

the BH is supposed to be used for transport, not a flying battle fortress that can cap any flag in 2 seconds.

just go and return the game now, ****ing stat padder.

Although I hate being on the receiving end of the BH. I would still concur that it is not considered stat padding. When there is a way to stop it and they are inflicting casualties on your side.. it is still not stat padding. Now if had the BH fly off to the edge of the map and they had medics engineers and support and a few people of the opposite team to help them out with getting their score up.. then ya.. thats padding.

HMMM i just thought of this now if they are going to tone down the BH and say make it so you cant cap in the air or if you still can cap in the air but it takes the time as if their was only one person doing it they should increase the amount of troops you can carry like in the back their are 6 seats but right now 3 of them seats are filled with some junk so you cant sit there. cause come on lets face it if they want us to use the BH more like a transport what good is it to drop off just 3 guys cause you dont want to have 5 jump out cause then you dont have your gunners any more then you can transport around a full squad and of course increase the amount of seating on the other transport choppers too

Do you have to personally attack anyone defending the Blackhawk? He has a perfectly good point, EA is takinga vehicle that's popular both in game and the real world, and they POSSIBLY (depends on how severe the un-needed adjustments are) could doom it to sitting on the helipad doing absolutely nothing but rust.

It's the narrow minded people that don't see the Blackhawks are already vulnerable that are the problem with this game. The people who are with the "me first" attitude, wanting everything CHANGED just to fix what isn't even a problem, just so they can play more suited to themselves, instead of adapting and overcoming. And I don't mean narrow minded as in JUST the Blackhawk, but anyone who see's the smallest thing as an exploit when they are simply getting owned by a tactic they don't understand how to deal with.

If a Blackhawk were JUST to be a transport, they wouldn't have given it any armaments at all. It would have been a flying shell with people in it. The "people getting out" stuff is pathetic, because battle ISN'T ABOUT RAISING FLAGS. It's about controling an area, hence the name control people. Why do people always bring up the whole "raising a flag" issue when they are simply a representation of control of an area?

If the n00bs who can't adapt and overcome are indeed getting their way, then I say make the Blackhawk be able to cap at the rate of 3 people. Pilot and 2 gunners. Why make the gunners get out or get ripped off? The change is already under-thought and shortchanging people (the gunners) because they are there to defend the Blackhawk, but can't do a dang thing for the flag as long as only the pilot gets points for capping.

I dont think that when they change the BH that only the pilot will get the points i think that everyone in the chopper will still get the points its just that the speed at which they cap the flag is going to be reduced hopefully not down to 1 person speed 3 person speed would be all right i guess

OHH and to the other guys who say its stat padding and complane about the chopper just flying in and then taking off most of the BH i have been in have always done a few circles around the flag area letting the gunners take out most of the guys down there then once their are little to no guys down there we go in cap the flag and move on to where the enemies are spawning next with the amount of guys we kill in the air is what is helping take down their tickets

and about the BH mini gun of course its going to kill faster you take all three guns from all the transport choppers and you fire them side by side probley by the time you get of 15 round on the other 2 guns the mini gus is going to have put out 50 rounds why cause thats what a mini gun does it sprays a "line" of lead you can write your name with a mini gun on the side of a building

I find this thread kinda funny I will explain why.

                              1. Blackhawk’s are not invincible, it takes some teamwork to take them down. Take a few min to type to your team and let them know what you want them to do. If they don’t listen your in the wrong server.

                              2. You can **** (<--- WOW P i s s is a bad word? LOL) a BH pilot off by hiding in the AA vehical (tree’s or some good cover with a good line of sight. BEEP BEEP BEEP, this will surly make the pilot antsy. Once he flares and is headed in the other direction unload on him and hope your hiding spot is not compromised. (You will get the air defense badge for doing this).

                              3. Blackhawk’s flying around capping flags means more points for me. I hide out of sight, once they fly off I run back in and try to recap the flag. I did this and got over 100 points just defending one flag with a few of my squad mates.

                              4. Vodnik’s 50 cal will take a BH down in a few seconds, get 2 of them shooting at a BH and watch it drop like a brick. Use the same AA tactic and stay hidden, once they turn and head away, light them up. If anything you’re taking there health down and another one of your teammates will end up finishing him off.

                              5. If you can cap the helo pad flag, DO IT. Then spend the time blowing there commanders goodies kill 2 birds with one stone. Sit back and watch as they spend the whole time trying to get this flag back. All there attention is on that one base and it makes it easy to take over the map.

                              6. The rocket to the wheel trick does work, but its luck if you can hit one while its circling.

                              7. Grab a gunner, and hop in the attack chopper, stay back and let your gunner have fun with his missiles, one shot to a BH will take it down easy.

                              8. Have fun, it’s a game. If you still are not having a good time, try playing 24/7 Karkand servers. You can score just as many points as if you where flying around in a BH.

I will say I love flying BH’s and it seems no one has a problem taking me down after a few min in the air. I try to help ground units by using my map and trying to provide air support, it’s not always about flag capping. Going from a BH to a Cobra is like going from an 85’ Dodge Caravan to a Ferrari 360 modena, I feel like I can zip around and not get hit. If you guys get a chance to watch a CAL match 8 vs. 8 watch how one team will dominate the map with one attack chopper hovering far enough away to take out armor and the other Helo, funny. WTG SIL Skeet!! =)

That makes a lot more sense, coulda swore I read it somewhere else that just one person got the points in the helo, but I like the idea of it capping at the speed of one better. :p Although if the thing is full, 4 people are going to cap like a madman, or 5 if one minigun were facing a wall or something to obstruct their range of fire. I still see a squad of competent people capping like crazy as the Blackhawk isn't going to even have to land under this rule, just fly slightly lower, as people can just drop, have the pilot medic, they heal from that small fall, and then they just jump and hit enter vehicle, and bam, they're gone. Can't wait to hear people complain because it's still owning them.

And well said Ozirtz, they're definately a blast to annoy, those pesky Blackhawks. Especially on maps like Daqing Oilfields or Kubra DAm where you can take the Su-30 or Su-34 and bomb the heck out of their pad after you shoot them down. Duel Yahtzee's!
