Its no problem having a BH over u jump up with C4 or get a postion with the nade launcher and fire straight into the cockpit then just watch the fireworks.

or it could be seen as another place to respawn at and get armor for your team, do what you feel is right ingame and have fun doing it, they obviously had fun so what was your problem with them having fun and you erm... having fun, the way you make it sound is like you had a straight 48 hour shift in some coalmines, if you dont like going flag to flag on foot like you say you do then why the hell are you playing battlefield 2? oh yeah for FUN

Yeah right. They are capping flags for the team so we can respawn there. I can see where using tortured logic is helpful to your argument, but if you believe what you just wrote, I've got a bridge to sell you. I had a blast playing the game, but was venting my frustration at getting beat so badly and having our so-called "teammates" playing their own separate game of "how many points can we get" instead of helping the teams cause, which is to win. Some people play to have fun, some play to win. I do both. When others play to pad their stats, then they should find their own server and not do it at the expense of others. Sounds like I touched the nerve of a stat padder with my post.

Is it stat padding, cause i was on a server that both teams were doining it and everone had ove 300 points. Now is that stat padding or just using the assests? There were other people in the server saying that it was bad.

Hope the patch doesn't put everyone off capping with the BH .... There's nothing more satisfying than being MEC AT and taking it down .... 2 or 3 AT with an Ammo crate defending against BH on Mashtur ... hmmmmmmm:evil:

Well in the end, i always feel that a good blackhawk run, pretty much ruins the fun, for both, the enemy and the BH's very own team mates.
For obvious reasons.
Games supposed to be fun. As an enemy, its not fun, firing 3 smaws into a hovering BH, only to have it stay....and cap, the very flag, im actually leaning against.
Helloooooooo McFly. Anyone that defends this action, is the cause, and effect. Its mildly retarded, really.
As a team mate.......the BH squad, pretty much nulls and voids, my forward movement towards pretty much any flag. I mean why go? They go, kill, cap. Me, if im lucky i'll find the few stragglers walking on irregular routes, and get a kill here and there. Forget flag capture points........they are reserved for the BH, apparently.
Nah, most of the time, when a BH is having a good run, its fun for no one, but the BH crew themselves. And thats not a game. Not at all.

I dont think so. They will still try. But i think, that the BH will change abit in its use though. It will probally be used more as a support object, in support of ground movement towards a flag. Instead of being the actual object approaching, and cappiing a flag.
1.) Engineers will not be able to fix it as fast as they can now.
Well, now. Pretty much 99% of all BH attacks i can get 3 smaw shots into it. However, as the engineers work on it...all that is null and void. So after the patch, i think 2 smaw shots will send it on its way. Which is a good thing.
2.) Slower cap times. No more can it sweep down, with a crew of 6 and cap it within what? 3 seconds? Thats gonna help big time as well. Nevermind end the capping while an enemy is still in range. That always drove me crazy.
Its future eliteness, i think will be more in a support role. As it should be anyways.

This is my first post here and this thread is as good as any to start with.

The thing you have to remember is that these things are not invicible. I will be the first to admit that Blackhawks are a huge problem mainly on Mashtuur City. But what people don't realize is that they HAVE to be taken down. You can't ignore them or you will lose.
The best way to take these things down short of a attack helo, Stinger, or a plane is to get in a transport vehicle with a .50 mounted on it, chase after it, and shoot it untill it explodes hopefully with all seven people inside. Aim for the gunner holes on the side to crush those miniguners because we all know that those are one of the Blackhawks biggest threats.
And if you have to run the MEC transport into it like a missle. It's cheap, but hey, so is the Blackhawk.

that's where you're going wrong, you're shooting the outside.. need to chuck in an AT rocket inside the passenger compartment and kill the engineers and/or pilot.

become commander and organise. let the biggest group attack the south east CP to capture the BH spawn, capture and hold the center spawn with a second group and the third group defends main base.

if each group has 1 (preferably 2) AT and a support, the enemy will soon become reluctant to even get in the BH and the battle will evolve more into a ground battle :) heck, if the team defending the (prior) USMC BH spawn has a spec-op with half a brain the more get in, the merrier!

What's the big deal? Do you know how much teamwork it takes to keep a blackhawk flying? You need the engineers to turn the wrenches, the gunners to shoot enemy AA, and a smart pilot who won't hover next to enemy tanks. IF you can somehow assemble a good crew who'll work together like that, why SHOULDN'T they make loads of teamwork points? What ****es me off are people who are assault class or sniper and jump onto a BH just so they can get some points. They just sit there and don't do crap.

If you're on the non-American team, just hop into your own chopper and ram that blackhawk down. Simple.

I just can't wait until the patch comes out to see how long before the BHW whiners start complaining about something else. I guarantee that the good BH teams will work around the nerfing of the BH and will be scoring just as many points as before.

Amen to that. After the patch for about a week, they'll be all "OMG HAHAHA WE R WIN U SUX YOU STAT PADDARS!" and then figure out they still suck, they're still losing, dying, and not able to cap flags due to something else that is invincible, and complain to EA about it as well.

If the Blackhawk's capping ability is going to be significantly reduced, I say they leave the rest of it as it is. But then again, gaming isn't about overcoming obstacles anymore, or using thinking to fix a problem, it's about whining to the developer that "OMG THEY R TOO POWERFAL FER ME!" and want whatever they don't agree with nerfed to make themselves more powerful. It happens in BF2, it happens in MMORPGs with classes, it happens in everything. You people just need to get over yourselves and play the dang game. Blackhawks are NOT stat padding, Blackhawks are NOT exploits, and anyone who says so is misinformed what those two terms mean. The Blackhawk was coded into the game as is as a FEATURE of the game, something that was meant to be in the game, meant to be used as it is. But if someone uses a feature, people say it's an exploit? Please, go get a life and leave the people who actually want to TRY at this game alone. We don't want this to become anymore of a n00b-friendly game than it already is. EA's attempt to cater to everyone by putting hardly any learning curve what so ever in the game is simply apalling, and people want to take that further? Practice people, not complain. It'll get you further in the game.
