Parachute Issues: Who packed this thing?!?

Has anyone else experienced problems using the parachute...

Mine works fine when bailing out of aircraft from a decent altitude...but lately...my base jumping from cranes and buildings is resulting in me *splatting* on the ground.

The parachute never deploys...I've tried press and holding, press repeatedly, press once and pray a lot...nothing seems to work.

It's not like it's vital that I figure this out...but it would save me from looking silly when I intentionally take a plunge and wind up playing human lawn dart.

pound that '9' key!! . IIRC, if the shute touches anything is disappears. make sure you are jumping really clear of any structures.

Wait till your gun is tucked away, then hit parachute button!

you know whats crazy for me....i've been doing some base jumping and doing the spastic "pound 9" exercises......it doesn't deploy but I take no to VERY minimal damage, even from jumping off a crane or tall building.

That's because you are probably opening and closing it really quickly so it still slow you down but doesn't deploy

Just use the superman hack, and you won't need a parachute. You unlock it after 1000 drops .

That's because you are probably opening and closing it really quickly so it still slow you down but doesn't deploy

You cant close your chute.

If your chute so much as brushes against the side of a tree or a building then it will collapse.

i have heard the parachute sound before but it never opened.

I guess I've never attempted to close my chute back up, that wouldn't make much sense.

Yeah, I know, but I wouldn't put it past them to include that feature in the game. :)

i hate the parashoot...its a solid object...when i jump off a building and opend the parashoot i landed on my team mate and i killed him....i hate it
