AHAHAHAHA. This is so funny. The gms in WoW all have godly weapons that you must want to have one too, right? Com'on, they are just playing with each others, just like you play only with your teammates.

Providing it's in a secure server with a pw, they can do whatever testing they need. They don't need to get on public servers to do so. I'm sure EA has a few pcs for just testing the game in a lan. No tester for any gaming company need to test their stuff on public servers.

That might be true if EA had 64 testers who could jump on a server at a time, but they don't. It's hard enough to get that many in one place at one time for betas. Live servers that are full of real players are a great place to test.

There is a massive difference between testing on a 64 player public server, and testing with 3 pcs on a lan, which frankly is a stupid idea.

No one said it's something we can't live with. Why should some players have special advantages that others don't?

I'm quite sure that they have more than enough people to fill a few 64 man servers. I highly doubt that it's 1-2 programmers making the game.

There's programmers (who make the game) and QA (testers who test it), and very often there aren't enough to fill a server unless EA had some mandatory playtesting time (like we do sometimes at my work). Certainly not 64 testers all on the clock at the same time.

Because only staff get benefits! That's like going to Best buy and saying, hey your employees get employee discounts, why not give them to everyone! And they'll answer, because it's an "employee" discount.
