    Re: BF2 getting boring?

Good squads are like finding a 500 hundred € paper from a street. I usually now only play with my clan when they go play. The problem is that we dont play that much, so sometimes I have to pup. Teamwork is sometimes overrated. Is teamwork sprinting into middle of firefight to get a point? Is it to spam packs to ground? Is it to take the last shot to a tank after someone else has took away of two thirds of its health?

Teamwork is not same as the teamwork points. I mean not to school you guys, just to point another flawn.

bf2 only gets boring when u play like lonewolf..i love it when im in a squad that really works together..it makes bf2 more intense when ur together prone in the grass while getting shot at and seeing ur teammates get killed...

        Re: BF2 getting boring?

BF2 is still great fun, IMO. like some above have said, it's the fun team work and trying to win the match (not just get points) that makes it best. a nice tight match down to the last few tickets.

        can't beat it!

I always let out a big hoot when my team wins like 3-0

            Re: BF2 getting boring?

Well, it's not really surprising that it gets boring, really...
Actually I felt that way already four weeks after it came out.

The root problem is that this game basically only allows you to do
the following three things over and over and over:

            - attack a location
            - defend a location
            - move from one location to another

... and that's basically the whole game. Of course jerks and idiots have
            more things to do, like:

            - teamkilling because they didn't get the heli or tank
            - getting other people kicked through various actions so they can be number 1 or whatever reason

The bottom line is, BF2 desperately needs more variety in gameplay and maps, and, as a lesson for life, ranking systems always bring out the worst in people.

              Re: BF2 getting boring?

My advise. Take a week or two off. I did this and it really helped the boredom alot. Try and play squads. If this doesn't work. Play lonewolf tactical. Play smart. In other words in Karkand. Just crawl up on a building if you are medic or assault put your gun on single fire. Its fun as hell taking pop shots of enemies that already capped a flag. They have no idea where you are, unless they have a good commander. But usually the commander is busy doing other things then to worry about you. Do that for about 15 minutes, then sneak in and cap their flag. Hey it beats never playing the game at all.

That's what you do in a war. What do you want, virtual coffee breaks?

An MRE or two would be nice.

                    Which is far inbetween...
Yes, people are joining squads, but people aren't playing as a team. I've stopped playing as a SL because people won't 1) follow me and 2) work as a team. I would see the little green dots representing my team ALL over the damned map... Not fun...

                      Agreed.
They need to add different game STYLES to BF2. Conquest alone gets pretty lame pretty darned fast.

O-O-pick me I know how to fix this! JOIN a Squad Worsk every time. Call up one of your friends to buy the game and play with you. Its 10x more fun that way

play on a server running 64 player maps but somewhere around 50 or so player cap, target rich environment pretty much every map, yet not over the top with spam.
